Survivor - You Know Who You Are Lyrics

Somewhere in America one night
Out on the road I saw her face
Trying hard to blend in with the others
She looked so out of place

Woo oh, her eyes, they caught me by surprise
They haunt my memory
Woo oh, she turned me around
Read my thoughts aloud
She moved me with a look
Then vanished in the crowd

You know who you are
In the night you'll feel a shiver
As I touch you from afar
Shining like a star
From the world we'll keep a secret
You know who you are

The towns all run together
As the days pour into nights and fade away
Staring at the schedule
To go back to the city and the day

Woo oh, come to me, listen to my voice
Follow what you fell
Woo oh, run to me, I'm searching for a clue
A number or a name
I'm reaching out to you

You know who you are
In the night you'll feel a shiver
As I touch you from afar
Shining like a star
From the world we'll keep a secret
You know who you are

Sometimes when my heart can't find a reason
And it's just another season passing by
Woo oh, sometimes, I can close my eyes and touch you
In a moment I can feel again the way it felt that night
...

I remember buying this on cassette and being pleasantly surprised by seeing there were two new songs (though this was before we knew how infrequent new music was going to be by them). The liner notes said that this song was "sure to usher in the next decade of Survivor hits". Hearing that, I was psyched that I was about to hear another melodic rock masterpiece a la something off Vital Signs. Then I hear this watery acoustic dud completely unlike the classic Survivor sound. I knew right then there was no freakin' way this was going to be anything close to a hit. And Hungry Years was also quite mediocre. If only they had a song like Fire Makes Steel, Empires or Velocitized, things could have been different. This song destroyed their career.

Yeah, they were already falling apart when Jimi Jamison left the band. Their attempt to reunite with Bickler didn't work.

The song is not there best although a great song. It has acustic guitar with powerful thich drum pondes with bit of minstral lyic style. Its a good song. Well done Surviver band. Sometimes the lead singer is brown or blond hair, from the knolage I took in from watching there musice videos. They have some memorable hits obviously Every ones favorite "Eye of the Tiger".

It's *you're* no your. And to think, that was your edit.
I like this song, but I don't like people who think other people are "idiots" for not liking a song, just because they do. Get over yourself, guy.
