This has a strong NoFX flavour (the opening riff always reminds me of NoFX's Sticking In My Eyes). I've become fed up with their pop punk tunes on All Killer No Filler, though I used ot love them when I was younger, but I still like their heavier punk songs from Half Hour Of Power, Does This Look Infected and Chuck, even though I've come across many other rock and metal bands since then. They were definitely good in their league, far better than Blink 182 to which they're abusively compared. Blink was overall stuck to pop punk while Sum 41 could do heavier and darker stuff, way closer to NoFX than to Blink 182.

Its all of the above, not just one sound. Sum 41 transcends genres by not being stuck to one style, hell there is even a metal breakdown on "Crazy Amanda Bunkface" which is a pop punk song, even their first EP had elements of punk rock, pop punk, and metal. So everyone is right, now shut up.
