Streisand, Barbra - Who Are You Now? Lyrics

I was knocked for a loop when I heard this on a headset at the public library. I could not believe what I was hearing. How was it possible to leave this out of the movie?
Only 22 years old -- I think this young girl has a big career ahead of her.

The film's producers wanted an Academy Award eligible song (written specifically for the movie). Nominated but didn't win. 🤔

She much later recorded the winning song that year, 'The Windmills Of Your Mind' (written by her close friends Michel Legrand and Alan & Marilyn Bergman) for her 'What Matters Most' album.

Whilst Barbra is fabulous, Sheridan Smith was waaaaaay better as Fanny. I watched the movie with Babs n thought "Meh". But seeing Sheridan on stage made me laugh and cry in equal measure. Astounding!

a beautiful song that seems to have Fanny questioning her feelings for Nick

Why this wasn't used in the movie, along with "Cornet Man" and "The Music That Makes Me Dance", I will never know!

+Michael Stone -- yes, her voice here is brilliantly expressive and that orchestral arrangement is far better than the overwrought "My Man."

The instrumental intro sounds really Menkenish (reminds me of the little mermaid)
