I don't feel the Metalcore vibes. It is more akin to Hardcore and certainly not Mathcore (Periphery is Mathcore but this... is not). They are a Hardcore band but it is a different style to Hardcore as, per say, Gallows is or Death Ray Vision or Hatebreed. I'll stick by them as being a Hardcore/Punk Metal band. I suppose everyone hears different things in songs. I just feel this Hardcore.

Actually, this is Hardcore Punk/Metal. So it is Hardcore. There is nothing Metalcore about this, if anything, it is pretty much todays version of Rage Against the Machine. Both with lyrical themes and even in their sound. They are Hardcore, although you could be being sarcastic. Either way, they are a form of Hardcore.

dont get me wrong this song is fucking ballin, but as a genre nazi this is CLEARLY just techy metalcore the very topest of tiers of metalcore but its not hardcore, the only thing remotely hardcore about this band is the vocals and even then not really!

well that's as close as it comes. bands like this are really starting to surface, and i think its great, counterparts, at half-mast, stray from the path, they all bring back complexity to hardcore. and that's awesome because it was really starting to be all about chugging, and how brootalz you sound. Lyrics were starting to trash talk women again, or just be about beating people up. and that's all really gay. thank god there are people taking hardcore back from what it's becoming.

it's a shame this video advertises 3 other bands in the image. Stray From The Path don't deserve this.

i don't need to explain shit to you. I like this band, and others who use normally confusing time signatures and tempo changes to be mathematically gifted in the song and that's my musical taste, but don't insult it by saying it's something it's not.

stray from the path actually have a extremely unique sound. Drew's voice is very original whereas a lot of vocalists have very similar voices. Also the guitar work Thomas Williams writes is amazing and I don't think I've ever heard another player use this kind of style. And they put on a fucking amazing live show and screamo is too broad a term to use I would call them hardcore or hardcore punk. So they actually bring a lot of "new" to the table.
