Also the church scene looks exactly like the Do me a favor video from House of gold and bones pt2. You can see 1982 in the grave, in the song '82 corey says "Something happened in 1982".

Go find the graphic novel House of Gold & Bones. It was written by Corey Taylor himself. That's what both HOGAB albums were based on.

I read the chapter in Seven Deadly Sins about Waterloo. I found out stuff about Corey I had no idea about. He is real. He is genuine. He is crazy and angry and violent. But he has heart and humor and loyalty. I really respect him for all he has survived and accomplished. He is no angel, but he is no devil either. As he said, he is just a man and says he is no hero. But I think he is wrong about that last bit. I consider him a hero in a time that lacks them. He is a survivor. And in times like these we all need to be heroes and survivors. I wish more people would be brutally honest about themselves and the world. Corey is more than he realizes.

+Randy O'Donnell There are a lot of reoccurring themes and melodies in these two albums which i'm pretty sure were intentional. I think this song is supposed to mirror Gone Sovereign/Absolute Zero.
Like the scream fading out at the end of this song/album is the exact same scream fading in at the beginning of Gone Sovereign and the first album. They might be implying that it just goes in an infinite loop or something. Also the intro guitar riff in this song is pretty much the same as the Gone Sovereign intro just played backwards.
There are easter eggs like that all over the two albums, it's one of the reasons why I love them so much.

+Randy O'Donnell it's supposed to be...Don't you know what a concept record is? The last few seconds of this song is the exact same sound as the very first few seconds of Gone Sovereign as well. It's not because of laziness, it's literally supposed to be that way. When you write an album that has a story in it, people often take a riff and turn it into a musical theme in order to string the album together.

They are both fairly different and personally between the two I like slipknot more. But holy hell I don't understand how Stone Sour isn't as big, they are so good. As a band they are very diverse but handle each genre so well. Talented musicians and oh yeah Jim Root on guitar and Corey on vocals?? Sign me up homie. I don't understand why some Maggots don't like Stone Sour at all, those are the purists..

Concluding an album (primarily concept albums) in the same (or similar) way it began is a major part of music theory. It's a proper conclusion.
