No, this is not borderline Slipknot. You people are focusing waaaaaay too much on the vocal style, and it's still not his deepest somewhat guttural vocals used in Slipknot. Listen to the first Stone Sour album and this is tame in comparison. This is still among the best Stone Sour I've heard as of late, it's really good!
The riffs are in no way Slipknot-esque either, same with the drums, the general chord structures, the lyrics or the intensity.
