I posted on this song because it's the one i remembered the most ..and my favorite !..My dad gave me this album after he got it from their sound engineer because he gave him a loan...Bannon was his name i think...it was awsome! ..the fact that i didn't have to buy it and it was such a good album made it so much better ! Thanks Dad and Ed...right !

John Kay was prophetic on this song. Like MONSTER, it is more for these times than back then. Excellent choice btw. 1959.

Great great stuff. Bobby Cochran was the guitarist at this point and what a player. He had to be good following the equally great Larry Byrom. Reminds me a bit of Buck Dharma in his ability to pl;ay flowing fast phrases with no apparent difficulty. Word.
Don't forget Kent Henry sandwiched in between those two. Kent and Bobby were actually friends, and Bobby, not knowing that Kent was not being asked to be in the band again in 1974, asked him his opinion of the band, how awkward that must have been for Kent to find out he was being replaced like that!
I have never, to my knowledge, listened to Steppenwolf before, or at least not for a very VERY long time. (im only 30, they are not my generation)... I do love this. I won a contest and I had about 4 choices of records I wanted, this was 1 (only got one) but this cd of theirs, it's amazing. Steppenwolf Slow Flux/House of wolf disc 1 (2 disc's).. Really really cool album!! ^_^ \m/
