Starr, Ringo - Who Needs A Heart Lyrics

Who needs a heart that is broken in two?
Who needs a dream that's been shattered?
Who cries for more when the joy turns to pain?
You just pretend it never mattered.

(tell me, who needs a love like yours?)
That is bringing me down?
(and tell me, who sees a love like ours?)
That went wrong from the start?
You have broken my heart,
We're just oceans apart
But still it doesn't matter.

Why does it hurt when you know who's to blame?
Why were the words softly spoken?
Why waste the time when we've been there before?
The ties that bind are almost broken.

(tell me, who needs a love like yours?)
That is bringing me down?
(and tell me, who sees a love like ours?)
That went wrong from the start?
You have broken my heart,
We're still oceans apart
But still it doesn't matter.

We're just oceans apart
But still it doesn't matter.

Who cries for more when the joy turns to pain?
You just pretend it never mattered,
You just pretend it never mattered.

Who needs a heart that's been shattered?
Who needs a dream that's been broken?
And who needs the words softly spoken?

Hey look kids! A young James Newton Howard before the film soundtracks!

I really like the backing chorus---that's ringo?!!?

  3. a.... m....

good, rockin' tune with nice horn riffs.

  4. A.... a....

¡Muy buena pieza! Tiene muy buen sabor.

I always love Ringo "my" Starr no matter critics said.

  6. t.... ....

Whom ever posted this should be made aware that a lot of the credits listed are incorrect.  For example: Tom Scott is listed as "Tom of The North" when indeed it is Tom Saviano on saxophone and all the horn arrangements.

It´s right, I must heva played it a million times, from 1978.

I also thought this album was one of his best . Must have played it a million times ! I could never figure out why the critics were so hard on it .

  9. J.... G....

The whole album is one of his best, and it's a lasting album - sounds fresh today!!!!!
Every song except for the last is rock, funk and soul - simply great.
Thank you Ringo for making this!
