Saw her last night in Glenside, Pennsylvania! Great show!

I was lucky enough to see Lisa Stansfield at The Ritz Theater (aka the old Studio 54) in NYC on this tour - killer band (straight from the studio), crazy back up singers, spit curl, beret and all that - ONE OF THE GREAT LIVE PERFORMANCES OF MY LIFE! During the break, when most bands go off stage and change clothes and recharge, she sat down on the edge of the stage and sang Billie Holiday songs to the audience - UNFORGETTABLE! Love me some Lisa!

Affection is an amazing song. I think it was actually out BEFORE "All Around the World" and no one had seen her at that point and we all thought she was black. So when she came out with AATW and we SAW her we were all floored. Her and Teena Marie are my favorite blue eyed soul artists.

My first time in New York, just after this album was released, I walked into the Burger King on Broadway by the huge vintage clothing store and they were playing this album over the speakers in the restaurant and all of the employees were dancing and working. This was the song that was playing when we walked in. It was a moment that I'll never forget. This album is a masterpiece, way ahead of its time, and there's not a mediocre song on the entire thing.
