i love this song. i think it was her first cd. i may be wrong. but i pray she hasn't lost her way. bc she's talented. i hope she goes back to her first love . which is jesus. it's so easy to lose yourself in this industry. we're be praying for ya!!

there is a short wikipedia on stacie, but i recently saw a youtube of her living in new york and how she will be going back into recording (she was vague in the video) this is 2014
stacie was on an unchristian label but most of her music was obviously christian.  like many musicians (including yours truly) they quit the business because of "logistical" things.  even as far back as michael jackson's last hit single "scream" musicians have been mentioning how many problems there are with the musical industry. 
i'm really looking forward to some more music by stacie orrico.  most of her songs have good music, good "instrumentation", and a good message

@crayton2004 what makes you think that just because her third cd talked less about god that she's not a christian anymore? I think that's a pretty big assumption considering her song I Can't Give It Up is on that album. I think she's just getting older and wanted to sing songs she could relate to but that doesn't make her any less of a christian for deciding to sign about something different.

I remember back in 03 when i was in 7th grade and i first heard this song! I was in love wiht this song soo much i used to wait by the radio everyday for it to come on.

i'm sure people of every ethnicity can sing...... just, not everyone has to and not everyone wants to.

And the key word in what you said is "trying" it probably won't go through because nowhere in the muslim culture does it say that beheading is acceptable. And not watching TV doesn't mean that you can't be brainwashed. Brainwashed is where you're influenced by the words of people, not necessarily from the TV. And do you know urdu or the other languages that muslims speak? If you don't how would you know if they're joyful or not?

It's obvious you too are brainwashed by American media. I respect your opinion about christians, but what you think of muslim woman is not right. In Iran-like countries that's true, but for example in Turkey muslim woman are just as free as the christian woman. In fact, in Turkey there are many female singers. Try to learn more about other cultures and your eyes may open up.
