Sonic Youth - The Burning Spear Lyrics
[Thurston]
I'm not afraid to say I'm scared
In my bed I'm deep in prayer
I trust the speed I love the fear
The music comes

ah why doesnt youtube let you reply to comments any more.. it used to be so simple now its a complete mess. anyway... in reply to rmtmusic1, not that you'll ever read this: not that i disagree with you, and in fact i think putting their music out for free can be very profitable if they manage it right, but it doesnt make them greedy assholes if they dont want third parties putting their music on youtube. for the influence and effort put into a career in music, the years spent penniless, they get (for the majority) very little in return after the record company and publishing company and all the different yadas and doodahs have had their pick of the pot. so, for what's then left to the artist to be taken away from them must be hard to swallow. however, youtube etc is here to stay, whether that'll completely destroy the expensive-to-produce guitar industry and leave the market wide open for cheaply made "i made this piece of shit on my mac in my garage" music i don't know. well, i mean i do know because its already happening... fuck you youtube and your lovely free music
kieran nee I'm replying just fine
this is amazing...
Thee Oh Sees
Sage Hutchens they covered one song 😂 how’s that ripping them off?

Fuckin oh sees
Dwyer grew up in 90's Rhode Island they def would have been an influence
@RMTmusic1 I doubt Sonic Youth really have any say given that they don't put out their music completely independent, their label probably has more say in what can and can't be put up.
Never was a fan of this band until recently, glad I had my eyes open to what music is
Music is a lot of things, friend. Keep your mind open.
I guess Sonic Youth hates free music because this song keeps getting deleted.
It's not Sonic Youth's choice, man, it's the weird copyright shit on YouTube. The band broke up in 2011, before this was even uploaded. I doubt Thurston, Kim, or Lee really gave that much of a shit if their shit was out there for free by that point, what with the divorce and such.
HAHAHA HA I can't stop laughing from what you said... Sonic youth has always been a non commercial band. Go read something.
Can't believe the drummer was in super Mario bros
And Platoon!
