Me, 15 years old, walking into a record store in my home city for the first time. Asked the shop owner: "do you have Rock?" :D he: "what kind of Rock?" me: "well... Rock" he: "let me think". Pulls out this CD "White Light, White Heat, White Trash". I put it in the player, press play and.... WOOOOOW! This is just .... I couldn't believe my ears. Completely overwhelmed by the sheer power of the sound, same time melodic richness, and what a voice, and the guitars!! Fresh air, no, tornado through my young mind... Awesome Record! Bought it straight away and has been one of my favourite records ever since ... The shop is no more (had to shut down under pressure of online sales), it was the last one to close in my city. I still sometimes thing of the shop and the guy today. He was just so awesome at his job; he could tell from just looking at me.. that I needed exactly this record.

Social distortion is the only punk band in the 70's and is still here today. Mike Ness is amazing and has been my favorite band since I was a little girl. So if your gonna talk shit I suggest you do your homework on how great they are you amateurs!!!
