Social Distortion - So Far Away Lyrics
I've sung the blues,
For every broken hearted lovesick dream for you.
I've paid my dues,
Working hard-sweat, blood and tears for you.
So far away, So far away, So far away! [x2]
I've had it all,
And lost it all in one blackout summer night.
I want it back,
But I just can't seem to get it right.
[Chorus]
I've sung the blues,
I've paid my dues,
Working hard-sweat, blood and tears for you.
[Chorus]

+Conversus Friggin Vans (Paul) haha was just thinking before I read this how social D and zevon are somehow on the same cosmic plane or whatever.. makes little sense logically but true just the same.
top notch
These guys are the guys that got me into punk. I saw 'Another State of Mind" documentary, and I was hooked. I was just a kid. Later when I was a teenager, I won a contest and had lunch with Social Distortion. They reaffirmed my love of them. They were as awesome as they sound. Just down to earth super cool guys. The story goes on, but I've said enough. Social D is the s**t!
you think these guys are punk? give me a break!
@Steve Leonard stfu wdy think is punk? I prevail? pop punk? Go cry with your bubble baby friends
People say Mike ness is a sell out or a poser but until you see that documentary you know hes a born and bred punk till the death

Not the unique.
You were probably listening to something like Motley Crue, or something like that...poor dude what were you thinking? you missed so many yrs of when they were at their very very best..but not to take away from the present ..they will always be the BEST EVER PUNK BAND!! Mike Ness❤️
I was 14 years old (1989), and helped my older cousin wash his truck. He had this song playing LLLLOUD and I was stunned and hooked. All these years later, it sounds as good as it ever did. Mike Ness is brilliant.
Cool story. Unfortunately the album was released in 1990 and recorded in late 1989.
Chris, I am terribly sorry for mixing up the dates in my story. With regret and regards, Imnotanalky
@imnotanalky just dont let it happen again
