Social Distortion - Ring Of Fire Lyrics
Love is a burning thing
And it makes a fiery ring
Bound by a wild desire
I fell into a ring of fire
I fell into a burnin' ring of fire
I went down down down
And the flames went higher
And it burns burns burns
That ring of fire
That ring of fire
The taste of love is sweet
When hearts like ours meet
I fell for you like a child
[Chorus]

My friend sent this link and now I'm hella Happy (≧▽≦)
This is 100% better than the original Johnny Cash version!
Johnny Cash and Social Distortion, YOU GUYS ROCK!!!🎸🤘🔥🖤🖤🖤
For the 10,000,000th time this is not a Johnny Cash song, It is an Anita Carter song. It was written by her sister and Merle Kilgore. she performed it. Johnny heard it and popularized it. It was around before he was. You may attribute to him, but it's not his song. I understand equating the song Sunday Morning Coming down to Cash, because it was written FOR him and he was the first person to record it and release it. This is not 'his' song. Before you going saying it is, go listen to Anita Carter's Version. BTW if you're a real Johnny Cash fan, you already know this.

Johnny Cash is legend. But this is by far the best ever rendition of Ring Of Fire. Love it!

Love the band... love the song ...greetings from Cleveland
Johnny Cash would be turning in his grave, and Social Distortion would be equally offended, if they knew this song was used in the trailer for "Playing with Fire", because such a great punk cover should not have to suffer such an indignity!
What a song
cocktails off rooftop
sawthem last nite in irvine

chris miller the show did leave quite a bit left to be desired
Totally love this cover
Great cover!! I love Mike's voice.
Johnny would love this
So much better than today’s junk!
One Direction; 👎
Social Distortion; 👍
TheNintendoDude andBFDIfan didn’t even know shit direction made a cover of it. Little do I know bout modern music
I'm an old fart, and back when mastodons roamed the Earth, close minded music rocker that I was, I refused to attend any country music concert with my wife, ... yet, as a compromise I begrudgingly agreed to see Johnny Cash, who proceeded to make me a lifetime fan with his music, style and hip coolness.....well, 25 years later, this close minded Cash fan has YouTube recommend this song and I think "Oh cripes, bet they butcher it.">... nope, it too rocked with an excellent take...so, youngsters, today's life lesson is "Always have an open mind when introduced to something new. Ya just never know."
Been there myself. 👍
I feel like I've heard this cover before. Was it in a movie? Spiderman maybe?
If you associate this to Spider-Man, you might be thinking of Blitzkrieg Bop by Ramones, which was in Homecoming.
Did you hear it from the Playing with Fire trailer?
@koozboy I think I heard it from the John Cena movie that's coming out. It's a kid's movie?
@Jen Campbell yes
oh haha he got me the fucker
Первые 3 секунды песни подумал что у меня сломался наушник
Love it!!🤔😬
Best metal cover of "ring of fire "
THUG 2 anyone?

Cash Approves!👍😎
Love them alot
Seeing them live was so cool.Me and my dad would listen in the car when I was little. It was so sick
A super killer tune of Johnny Cash tune. I saw them perform this song along with "Ball and Chain " in Austin, Texas at the Liberty Lunch. It certainly was a wonderful concert dispite it was a cold and rainy day in 1991.
Who are here for Constantine?
Dis is deadly love it ....

Guilty as charged! like this version so much better than the country ass backwards version.
One day, I heard my dad listening to the original version of Ring Of Fire on his radio in the car.

It's an example how can you make a pearl of a piece of shit.

Fukin amazing
I like balloons in my nose.
So Fair, Johnny was a rock and punk star.
John Constantine
The only way to cover a legendary song is by making an ultra legendary cover of it to pay tribute.
My favourite version of this song, but I do find it shocking that even after the movie "walk the line" people seem not to know that the song was written by JUNE CARTER, not Johhny Cash. The first recorded version is by her sister Anita Carter and it was recorded by Mother Mable and the Carter sisters too.
I have a dipshit relative who claims to be all about Johnny Cash and thinks covers are stupid. Dumbass doesn't know Cash would be smiling and tapping his foot if he heard this. Cash loved all music. And there's not a band out there that doesn't cover other bands' music.
Don't forget Johnny Cash did a cover of the Nine Inch Nails song "Hurt"
The ring of fireeeee!!!!! One more timeeee!!!!!
Love it..
Laugh all you want fans, I didn't discover these guys until today when YouTube put them on autoplay.
For all the people bitching that they would wish they lived in the 80s, you can stop.
60s, 70s, 80s, 90s. This is the best of it, this is what you thought you were missing.
My work plays this on the radio all the time and I LOVE it
Nothing compares to God's Creation Mommy Daddy kids Eternal Life beyond this temporary place... True Love God's Design
I like this one more than the Johnny Cash version
amazing
This band, album and song were WAY AHEAD of the times. One of the most under rated bands in the last 25 years.
La verdad yo entiendo muy poco inglés. Pero gusta mucho este tema. Que en español es anillo de fuego. Y viva el Rock
Social Distortion fan since the early days. God Bless Mike Ness and bandmates. "It's better to burn out than to fade away, Rock and Roll is here to stay!"
By the way kids, Johnny did a cover of Ring Of Fire, yeah June Carter wrote this song and recorded it a whole year before he did.
www.fanclubjohnnycashfrance.com love the cover !
the best
Always thought this version sounded like Elmer Fudd. That's not a bad thing thing though.
Not a fan of this version, Johnny did it tons better.
Cash would approve.....he had a little punk in him :-)
No mamessss,, shingonsisimaaaa
Brilliant! love it!!
i'm both pissed and embarrassed that i didn't know about this version until it was on Gotham Season 5 episode 2. Nevertheless this is the best version of the song PERIOD.
Social Distorion, straight up rock and roll, the way it was meant to be.
every music where Social distortion is singing becomes good
Ness said he once had a chance to meet Cash after releasing "Ring of Fire.''
"I visited with him for about three minutes,'' he said. Both were working out of a studio in Hollywood - Ness and Social Distortion were cutting the 1996 release "White Light, White Heat, White Trash.''
"I heard he was right next door, and I had to go meet him,'' Ness said. "I walked in with my acoustic guitar. I just said, 'I'm Mike Ness. Can you sign this guitar real quick?'
"He was really cool, and he got a kick out of what we had done,'' Ness said.

Heard this song in Gotham season 5 episode 2, and I am majorly impressed with this. :D
me too!
Johnny died knowing he'd been one upped on this cover.. Rip Mr. Cash..
It's better. Even Johnny thought so. Real talk.
mike ness heredo el talento de cash
My favorite is the Dragon Forcs cover
This is the ideal way to do a cover. If trying to copy the original directly, you'll just end up with inferior version of it. If you port it into a new genre however, you create a sidegrade, instead of a downgrade. It's neither better, nor worse than the original, because the two aren't comparable on the same merits.
When I was at UNT on a field trip in 4th, (I’m in 7th now) they played this on their 360 bubble theatre, and I was the only one who could tell you who made the original in my grade, and I was the only one who thought this was cancerous, but seriously DONT TOUCH PERFECTION
Sounds like Jason and the Scorchers
They ripped off Jason and The Scorchers
💘💗🖤
552 dislikes why this cover kicks ass
This is how older artists and older music gets introduced to younger generations -very important. I'll take Johnny's version, but hats off to Social Distortion. Plenty of room for both.
i heard on the radio and i loved it
Is it just me or does this remind any one of the early Sex Pistols?
