SOAK - Scrapyard Lyrics

So I heard you crashed the car dodging a rodent
My friends saw you at the bar
How long must we do this?

We've been hanging 'round on a seesaw in the scrapyard
Make another you with the rust of all the best parts

Seen you been blowing smoke finally, broke the boundary
So I guess I flipped, tripped my switch
I'm so angry

We've been hanging 'round on a seesaw in the scrapyard
Make another you with the rust of all the best parts

Said it before, neither of us try
Let's get realistic

We've been hanging 'round on a seesaw in the scrapyard
Make another you
I've been wishing for it so hard

  2. K.... N....

    45$ a ton in Kentucky

So nice seeing men not wearing skinny jeans.

U should consider breaking those down with a plasma cutter, the sealed units. They have a 1lb or better of copper in each one..then #1 steel prepared is left depoending on the yard. Just dont use a torch. The torch can ignite the oil releasing harmful vapos that will poison you from the freon trapped in the oil. Plasma cutter doesnt ignite the oil. Also the oil is super clean and burns very well in diesel engines and your home furnace. So you can save the oil. Tjhe really big ac sealed units I have seen up to 10 lbs of copper in them. Far better than 10c lb for sealed units.

    t.... ....

I used to cut them open with chop saw( i dont have plasma) before when my yard considered the copper #1 but then they realized it wasnt and started a category called "field windings" which went for the wire in electric motors as well. That was only paying .80 per lb. I stopped when they started that. But if you can get paid #1 copper price it's worth it

    t.... ....

@Jimmy #1HMS Burnt copper is #1. After I pull the armature out with the windings..I normally toss it in a fire pit...staying downwind from it. Then toss it in a cold bucket of water which anneals the copper making it super clean. Then just cut the windings out. But thats the great thing about scrap, you can make as little or as much as you want depending how involved you want to go. Just remeber dont breathe the fumes from the mineral oil inside them. They do hold freon molecules and when burned can release phosphene gas... You can get a cheap plasma for under 400 off of ebay. Never had any inssiue with the cheap chinese inverter plasma.

    t.... ....

@thdevilmancometh well that's some very good info I appreciate it. I doubt I would ever burn the copper, but that's cool you get #1 price for it. Good job! Thanks again

    t.... ....

@Jimmy #1HMS your welcome. Check out freonjoe on the scrap metal forum. All he does or did was recycle ac. You can even sell the reclaimed freeon for hundrends of dollars....and he has many post on cutting them open.

    Cool Jimbo !
    Silver=cash=goodness =hell yeah.......

Are you and Vince still a team or is it getting too expensive for him right now. Your family comes first when he has gloves and you have everything it takes to make it a paying job... Did the chicken make it out of treatment? hope so, even chickens have feelings. I think about them upside down in a funnel, waitting for their heads to come off... that is a bad day for mr and mrs chichen

    M.... A....

We are still goin strong, when its anything other than scrap he gets paid per job. Honestly hes the only person I can find that will word hard and has a general idea of how to scrap. The chicken was killed in broad daylight by something, it wasnt a fox. Whatever killed her just chewed her head off. Weasel, opossum maybe? That is a horrible death, upside down and wedged into tight funnel

    M.... A....

@Jimmy #1HMS Sorry for you and your family's loss, You are too good with animals and that is why we are friends

    M.... A....

@Morgan Adair it's all good thank you. I should have left her cooped up but I cant stand caging/limiting originally wild animals

  7. T.... l....

The scrap.yard needs to buy a dolly to put all those ac compressor s on instead of carring them.so damn far!!!!!!!

  8. T.... l....

Is it worth taking apart travel trailers. My local scrap.yard says it takes too much time.and you have to deal with all the trash

    T.... l....

The trash is what makes it not worth it..... the metal is a fair amount but having to deal with all the trash will eat up the profit. So the answer is no

    T.... l....

yeah only if you charge the owner like $400 or so would it be worth it.

  9. T.... l....

Question is it worth messing with mobile homes????????

    T.... l....

Nope too much trash.... mobile homes and campers are a no go

  10. T.... l....

Do you have a Facebook profile?????

    T.... l....

    No I do not

  11. T.... l....

I can film and take pictures in my scrap yard.is your yard afraid their competition will see your videos??????????

    T.... l....

I have no idea.... they made it clear no videos, but they didnt see the camera in this one lol

  12. T.... l....

What a truck load of ac unit stuff

  13. T.... l....

Is it worth pull all the small copper off the acr ends?????? I pull the all the small noodles off the acr metal ends..and put them.in a coffee can. Is it worth going thru all that time to collect those small Cooper noodles??????

    T.... l....

We generally pull the copper off it's worth it while your doin it

  14. S.... M....

did you sell the white crew cab dully?

Hello you are my favorite YouTuber in the world

    S.... A....

Hey there thank you! I'm glad your enjoying the show

  17. R.... B....

What did you call the silver colored spring looking stuff? I get ac's every week. I thought that was stainless.

    R.... B....

My yard calls it inconel Google it for full info. It has a high nickel content. Pays $1.00 per pound near me. Thank you for watching and commenting

  18. S.... T....

Hey scrap man, does the IRS know about your money making set up operation?

    S.... T....

Absolutely I am a law abiding citizen. Thank you for watching and commenting

  19. R.... A....

    yea one for every video

  20. L.... K....

These guys are helpful where I go they make you put everything on the scale.

    L.... K....

Louis Krueger yes a couple other scrap yards near me are the same way. Where do you live

    L.... K....

    Wisconsin

  21. G.... B....

Good video! Get some gloves on. You're handling a lot of metal with sharp ends. Glad you didn't get cut.

    G.... B....

George Bronstein point taken thank you!

  22. D.... J....

I thought you said you paid $60 for the big ac. Where did they get that price? All in all made some nice papers.

    D.... J....

Dumpster Jerry I paid$60 for 11 good size window units that were being replaced. They came up with the price. I imagine they were gonna go in the dumpster. After breaking them down that was the $198 ticket. The $152 was from a weeks worth of HVAC company dropping off bits and pieces (sealed units, electric motors) I will make a video showing the kind of stuff they give me

  23. F.... A....

    again a great vids :)

    F.... A....

    Frank A thank you

  24. R.... B....

If you have the space you should hoard your electric motors, they should be double what they are paying now and they will go up I’m sure of it.

  25. R.... B....

Thanks for the vid jimmy! Try this: I take the ends of the acr’s and clamp them in a vice with the noodles down then use a grinding disk (not a cut off wheel) grind the steel that the open end of the noodles are sticking through and the noodles will fall right out, you don’t have to grind them much, they come out. Hope you understand what I’m saying I’m not very good at explaining things.

    R.... B....

Ryan Baldwin yes I understand what you mean and appreciate the comment but most of the time I'm busier than a one legged man at a ass kicking contest and I just knock them off to get the clean ACR price. I used to dissasemble electric motors for the windings but kids and work really eat up all that time that breaking things down take

    R.... B....

Jimmy #1HMS I hear ya jimmy, life gets busy you do what you have time for.

jackpot digger thank you what a meaningful comment. They had just opened I was the first one of the day....so not all employees were there yet. It does get louder once they start bailing and separating metal. I managed to spill one compressor oil all over my leg and phone hahahaha. It's all good just part of living the dream
