I see there were some negative comments about this song, my mother transcendent on Thanksgiving morning, this year, I played this song at least hundred times as I went for a run to help cleanse my my mind and spirit. I ran and cried cried and ran, for 5 miles. I had this song on repeat, it help me thru the pain. I am forever humble, grateful and thankful for Mrs. Patti LaBelle and Uncle Snoop.

I was looking forward to this song's release every since hearing the snippet of it on this preview @6:33 https://youtu.be/ShHJkxL0Ns0 However, it's not the same version. There is clearly another singer on lead and it's not Patti Labelle. No disrespect to Patti, but the snippet version has a lead on it that's fiiiiiire and I want to hear the previous studio version.

MisterMan3OOO Bro... I was thinking the same thing last summer... I couldn't wait!!! I later found out it is B. Slade. He confirmed it after I basically stalked him for 3 days on Twitter... 😂 😂 He also does most of the background vocals on this track and many others on the album, in addition to his own tracks. I agree: No shade, Ms Patti.... But Bslade killed this one. He's a vocal beast.

I didn't wanna seem like I was being too picky, but KUDOS to Tonex for the lead on the earlier demo version of this track. Ps: he'll always be Tonex to me. I've been a fan of his since his "Pronounced Toe-nay" album lol.. but he Slade the lead on the snippet to the point I thought it was female

So let me tell you. I didnt know what to expect on this track. I heard the first line and realized it was the Thomas Whitfield classic "I Shall Wear A Crown". This remake was fire!!!!! Lost it! Patti doesn't over sing it. The song sounds fresh with losing the essentially components of the original. Arrangement solid. Love it! This album is dope.
