Just got rejected from a great job right in the middle of the best interview of my life because of my criminal conviction and subsequent incarceration due to alcohol abuse... I haven't had a problem in years.. As I sit here drunk this afternoon, I can’t help to see the irony in all of this so i had to play some Todd Snider.. Man it’s been a long year.. i guess some people are just born to lose.. Think I’ll play "double wide blues" next.. Cheers!

About two years ago this song first came up on my Pandora. I had never heard of Todd Snider before, but the first few seconds of this song totally drew me in. I know own everything Todd's put out and my life has been totally changed. I now know how to play guitar and I've started working on my own songs. I even recently learned how to play this song on guitar. And as I was thinking about it, I realized this was the first Todd Snider song I heard. Todd Snider = my favorite songwriter.
