Sneaker Pimps - Johnny Lyrics

I put my hand upon her knee
And she said, do you want to see?
I put my hand upon her breast
And she said, do you want to kiss?

Gently, gently
Gently, Johnny
Gently, Johnny, my jingo
Gently, gently
Gently, Johnny
Gently, Johnny, my jingo

I put my hand upon her thigh
And she said, would you like to try?
I put my hand upon her belly
And she said, do you want to feel me?

Gently, gently
Gently, Johnny
Gently, Johnny, my jingo
Gently, gently
Gently, Johnny
Gently, Johnny, my jingo

I put my hand upon her knee
And she said, do you want to see?
I put my hand upon her breast
And she said, do you want to kiss?

Gently, gently
Gently, Johnny
Gently, Johnny, my jingo
Gently, gently
Gently, Johnny
Gently, Johnny
Gently, Johnny, my jingo

@Dudeified43091 Sorry, you're misinformed. I found (most of) the lyrics in an old folk song book.

NO! this is not from a traditional song... This Song is a remake of an original song called "Gentle Johnny" from the 1973 film "The Wicker Man" It was written by Gary Carpenter, Paul Giovanni and their band Lodestone/Magnet, this song and another from the movie "Willow's Tune", both of which the Sneaker Pimps cover. the only thing traditional about this song is the lyrics are derived from a Robert Burns poem... Next they will be saying Sneaker Pimps wrote Auld Lang Syne... geeze.
