I remembered hearing this song when my uncle gave me a bunch of his old CDs in 2006. Some of them included Siamese Dream (Smashing Pumpkins), Rotten Apples (Smashing Pumpkins), Core (STP), Liquid Swords (GZA), and Nothing’s Shocking (Jane’s Addiction). This song has always stuck out to me and is one of the few songs that really bring me back to my childhood.

It's a stand out song for sure. Something special about this piece of music. That is beautiful <3 I only just heard it for the first time now, as an adult. Feels like I have known it my whole life.

I care... I hiked up Mt St. Helens with this in my Walkman, got lost from my group... was alone on the mountain and just kept heading up. Probably about 1994? I may be off a year... but this was one of those songs that made me touch death and see all its beauty and horror and this stupid version cuts out the feedback solo and now I wanna go break shit

Smashing Pumpkins is one of the best bands ever. I am old and I don't make snarky comments. This band kinda saved me.

Poor D'Arcy didn't have it so great. Though as far as I know, I'm pretty sure she and James were good friends throughout her time in the band. They did date in the earlier years, but still, I'm pretty certain James made her a lot less lonely than she would have been otherwise.
