Slum Village - Fantastic Lyrics
Does y'all niggaz just gotta test the S
It's the fantastic, Amara, incarnated
The old star made it, back to earth bruh
What can I do for you? Troop you makin up
And oh your lady wanna, do me slow
Livin productively in the U.S., she's Filipino
And brushin you off like a classy hoe in a casino
Now the rest of the night you're feelin like Mr. Draino
Your stomach ain't right, you're drinkin Milk of Magnesia
Now bruh, life ain't gotta be like that
All you gotta do is grip yo' meat, laugh at her
Massage her, take a, bath with her
Devour her, the owner you should master
Fast or slow, aiyyo
This shit shit is for the willin, dealin in cash flow
Write up a scroll on your hoe when she don't act right
This for my niggaz who paid the damn dues
This shit is for my niggaz who died to grip a mic
This shit is for the bitches who fuss and wanna fight, fight
Write up a scroll on that bitch when she don't act right
It's fan-tas-tic~! Yeah
You wanna test the S nigga, huh
It's fan-tas-tic~! And I'm feelin, alright
Nigga steppin in the club like, dy-na-mite
It's fan-tas-tic~! Nigga...

Slum Village Forever Dilla and Baatin Rest in beats your music will always lives on forever my brotha word up
Baatin Absolutely Destroyed his Verse!! R.I.P. Jay Dee and Baatin!! SV 4LIFE!!!
I had a religious experience once. I dreamt that I met God and it was a woman. This song played throughout the dream while I spoke with her. It changed my perspective on a lot of things.
Man Dilla's beats generate the best comments I swear. Jaydee was a legend for sure
This is nizice
Love it. The lyrics. We form. The lyrical voltron. Ha....
it’s honestly a true blessing to me and other individuals within my age group to have an opportunity to experience and take notes off of legends that were born before our generation, instead of taking words and “knowledge “ from these mumble rappers in this generation. And to actually observe the transition from back then to now! not that I have anything against the people who listens to to mumble rappers because we all like and experience things differently!
BAATINS verse grabs me ** LYRICAL VOLTRON
DRUM MASTA
hed bobba. rip dilla d
Understated, raw and emotional from 0:00 to 2:50. At 2:50 to 3:05 I have no words for that change. It gives me chills. 3:05 on is just Dilla. If I had to explain his music and beats to someone I would play this.
For some reason I link the sound of the track to the sun setting.
♒Aquarius season! The whole track is str8 dope from T3 to Baatin, J Dilla 's end bars though, fire🕯! RIP, fellow Aquarian.
Its FANTASTIC 3:00
I remember seeing them in concert and thinking, these beats are timeless
Top 5 Dilla beat. Original drum master
r.i.p baatin r.i.p dilla
Imagine Q-tip and Mos Def on this beat, my life would be complete.
Yeah man, great choice with those two. I think Redman will also sound ill on this
dude i'm about to burst into tears
Baatin verse is literally gross
CLASSIC
My greatest inspirations are Jay Dee, Pete Rock, and DJ Spinna period!
The definitiion of a low key track. No title, Perfecr bass line and perhaps the best ever outro
This shizz is magical !!
Easily my favorite SV track and Dilla was an amazing producer, but I honestly think he's pretty underrated on the mic. He wasn't the best lyricist, but sounded great rapping over these beats, especially this one when he was flowing to the beat of the drums. It still blows me away after listening to it over a million times.
you just blew my mind...
Agreed dilla was a bad ass rapper, also a good singer too. Check out the song "my lady" its got him singing
Who comes in at 1:02 ??
seems odb at the beginning ahaha
dont know tho
Ruben Filipe sounds like qtip too
Young Butcher That's Baatin. He's in Slum Village too.
Damn dilla’s verse is sick
The way he flows to the rhythm of the drums still fucks me up every time I listen to it
extremely underrated rapper. one of my fav.
the outro might be my favorite drums on a hip hop song
Someone loop 3:00 please
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9YkeF6nVF0o

@There is no hope Thank you. Been looking for this

Top 25 hip hop tunes of all time
Growing up with nothing, broke, walking everywhere and taking the bus music was all I had. This was my top 10 plays throughout each day. My age group didn't understand this music or the science of mastery gone into this.
Thank slum for getting me thru it.
I don't know how old you are but I am 30 and I would bump it in my walkman when I was 13 and people making fun of me, couldn't ever hold me back. I remember 10 years later playing "find a love" produced by Dilla on my vinyl turntables at a college party and getting mad love- I couldn't have believed it when I only had music as a friend

@TheCavs6 oh yeah almost forgot about that jay z's first album was amazing greatly due to ski feelin it is probably my favorite off that album haha.
@DjSkyfaze Pilot Talk I and II are my favorite albums of all time. GREAT production on those. Ski also mixed some of Jay-z's best songs too..
@TheCavs6 i love ski the work he does with curren$y is amazing and i cant fr get camp lo haha. ski has made a comeback to hip hop. more dudes want his genius beats
As I've grown up, I've come to appreciate and acquire a taste for artists like SV. Grew up on radio and mainstream music, and have no clue why I listened to all that. Mainstream is like the Natty Light of hip hop, this is the strong dark lagers. You need to have a real taste..
@DjSkyfaze great list, glad you included ski beatz
@joseefu i also like fat jon too. he helped with champloo and i loved his beats so much. my first semester of college i listened to him whenever it was rainy out or when i smoked weed lol. i have all of his albums to date i think. i may be missing a few.
@joseefu of course lol i found out about him through samurai champloo that show was the shit. samurais and hip hop work perfectly together. i was upset when he died. i was like damn there goes the japanese dilla
@DjSkyfaze is that a random order or is J-Dee the top of the totem pole of producers in your opinion?
ali shaheed mohammed...sa ra...etc.as well...
jdilla
pete rock
dj premier
dr. dre
madlib
ski beatz
pharrell williams
flying lotus
im sure im forgetting others, which is embarrassing lol but yeah my favorite hip hop producers and in my opinion the best in hip hop please dont leave rude comments its just an opinion
probz one of the best verse i have heard from dilla..
