Not taking anything away from the legendary Motown sound -but that's Muscle Shoals studio house band; The Swampers. They worked with most of the greats of the 50s, 60s & 70s (including Percy) who recorded under the Atlantic label. Motown came along after most had already signed with Atlantic.
