Im 50. I appreciate Slayer more today than i did thru the ages of 15-40. Never forget hearing Angel of Death on WPRB Out of Princeton U (College Station). It was the most badass song i had ever heard. Hearing Lombardo go off on drums? It was 100% pure unadulterated metal mayhem. It made Larz Ulrich obsolete overnight. And here i am 35yrs later and 11 Slayer Concerts later still banging my head to the best music ever written on this hell hole called Earth!

I'm also 50 and I couldn't agree more. Funny enough I also heard them first on a college station out of Rochester NY. That song was Chemical Warfare and I was hooked. Seen them 3 times in the last 2 years in 3 different parts of the country. 9 times in total.

I'm 24 and the first slayer song I was exposed to was cult when I was 11 in the 6th grade like right when the album came out and in less than a month later I had almost every lyric to most songs memorized and I still listen to those songs today. To be honest I like the alternative cover better. It's more ominous, which fits the vibe of most of the songs on Christ Illusion. The original would've gone great with Reign in Blood or what have you. But the alternative with the hand and hole in it is so badass looking for me. It's also more subtle. I like to think the hole is actually an eye.
