The riff kinda reminds me of the Doom theme.

For me, this is the best riff he's ever written. Far and away the best song on the album. Over a year now, and this is still my favourite song. This could have fit right into Slash's Snakepits Aint Life Grand album. The only thing that could make this song more amazing is if Rod Jackson did the vocals. Myles is great but his voice is not raunchy enough, Rod would have killed on this one. Too bad some people are gonna dismiss it due to the sleazy lyrics, but their loss.
He said he wrote this back in 2010 for his debut solo album, and there was a scrapped song with Steven Tyler that they couldn't release. Wouldn't be surprised if it was this riff, it's just dripping with that early aerosmith groove. This band really gets the best out of Slash, it is just amazing how he writes some of his best music this late into his career. Complete opposite of some of the other has-beens from the same era. I tip my hat to you slash.

+WayCoolJr. Although Rod is my favorite singer in terms of voice and presence, I find it hard to believe that he could nail this song in terms of range. He can certainly hit A2 and Eb5 separately but in the same song? However you have made me curious as to how would he take this song. Rod's loss for me was more painful than Guns breakup because they only made one album and in my opinion Rod's vocals had more chemistry with slash sound than Axl's. Myles is awesome but he does not have that hard rock voice. You can see where he really shines in "The Unholy" or "Nothing Left to Fear" they need to make more music like that. Myles has more of a goosebumpy voice than an attitude one.

+farrex0 if Rod was the singer on this album, this vocal track from Myles on the song would not exist obviously, so he has no specific notes to hit because he would sing the song in his own style

That music video for "World on Fire" would be a hard one to follow, but this song has all the ingredients.

There's this video of Myles Kennedy playing/singing blues at a contest back when he was like 20 yrs old. In the vid, he is super cocky, has this awesome long blond hair and is just much more sexual than he is now.
This song is one that I would have expected from that boy in the video. I'm glad being with Slash lets him get back in touch with his bluesy roots.
