I love this song. She gets on the bus and first she's depressed and then she looks around at the people and looks at the beautiful world and she starts thinking about what life is and what she values out of life. Another gem from Sinead. She is one of the few contemporary musicians whose songs contain lyrics with deep meaning. Its no wonder, since she has been through hell in her life. I was shocked to discover that she has just converted to Islam. Then again, I can understand why - she craves tenderness and love from others, and in Islam there is a strong sense of comradery between Muslims. This sense of comradery is also found in Judiasm. This is because both Muslims and Jews feel persecuted and any group that feels persecuted develops a sense of comradery between themselves.

I may be wrong but she seems more content and at peace and I'm happy for her;  for that.Now I think about all of the people that didn't understand what she was trying to say all those years ago regarding the church. Very few understood the message and the problem. And believe me it isn't just the Catholic church. She was so right, and we were all just so blind. So many people owe her an apology, including me. I was never angry, though. I was just confused. \

If she only knew how much she helps people with severe problems through her music, like this song and Take Me to Church. I wish I could listen to her and talk to her about life, about what we believe and most importantly thank her. I know, been there myself ... but we forget ... look up her 'Behind the scene" interview.
2nd she writes what she feels .. Sinead .. you got one of the most beautiful soul I wished I'd met before my end.
3rd. with that awesome voice she was/is able to play with quite a few different styles, and you can find yourselves in her words at all times , she is my music Diva.
