Shakespear's Sister - Sacred Heart Lyrics

Hear my confession while it's on my mind
One holy hour of your precious time
Could save my soul
Bitter memories could faid away
You could make this fallen angels day
If you'll be there, if you'll take care of...
My sacred heart
Spare my sacred heart
My sacred heart
I give to you
My sacred heart
Spare my sacred heart
Outside the flowers of the forest bleed
Soldiers of fortune sow their deadly seeds
Your sanctity is all I need
I've tried cathedrals and holy grails
I've looked for love on every golden trail
With you I rest, take what's left of...
My sacred heart
Spare my sacred heart
My sacred heart
I give to you
My sacred heart
Spare my sacred heart
My sacred heart forever and ever be true
Forever and ever let it beat for you
My sacred heart
Spare my sacred heart
My sacred heart
I give to you
My sacred heart
Spare my sacred heart

This is such a good record with amazing lyrics. In my top 10 albums of all time.

Definitely an interesting experiment that worked - some songs may have been a bit more worked out but as a whole, "Sacred Heart" is a rewarding listen. "Heroine", "Run Silent, Run Deep", "Sacred Heart", "Twist The Knife", "You're History", "Break My Heart", "Red Rocket" and "Electric Moon" are all ace tracks.

The remaining part is a collection of decent fillers that complete the picture (a cover of Bob Marley's "Could You Be Loved" remains the most mediocre song on the album). "Dirty Mind" and "Heaven Is In Your Arms" satisfy more, "Primitive Love" and "You Made Me Come To This" are audibly half-baked but irresistibly catchy songs, the latter is a great stripped down dance number (originally on CD only) - too bad the "wow-huh-huh's" that appears half way down the second verse are emphasizing the lyrics' shallowness a little too much.

Translation "people won't pay me to write so I'm posting this shit on here so you all can marvel at my ability to jack off in public"
