Karen Philip (the blonde) - wasn't singing, it was all Lani's voice (the brunette) on EVERY BR66 SONG! She was just posing, for optics & appearance, which is what Sergio M. & Herb A. wanted. It must've been awful for her, but I'm sure she cried all the way to the bank... This would never be done today.
The girls are dressed like crew members of the spacecraft in a science fiction movie.

I love this group. Always put a smile on my face when I was a kid in the late 60's. I still listen to them. One of the very best. And I love Lani.
In the 1960s-1970s we'd have the sounds of Lani; Patsy; Gladys; Dionne; Mary Travers; Janis; Karen; Dusty; Aretha; Marilyn; Carly and Ronstadt. It would have been ungrateful of us to have asked for more.
Many songs from Brasil '66 are better ('So Many Stars'; 'Like a Lover'; etc.) but 'Pretty World' might best represent the sense and feel that they meant to us at the time.
Karen Philip was totally under rated as a singer.

Karen has such great moves and with Lani and Karen have such great voices.
The girls make this with there beautiful voices and moves,its to bad we can't go back for just a little wild,this songs takes you back and you would just love being there even if its only a little bit. Lovely

She's lip syncing, so there is no lyrics mistake. Here's my total guess. When she is lip syncing the lyrics "I'll blow you a kiss or two," a band member, or some other unseen person near or on the stage is holding his hand out blowing her kisses. Or, a bit cruder when she sings "I'll blow you..." this guy is opening his legs motioning to her with his arms to "come on over." Maybe these things happened during rehearsal, and the playful elements went live. Since they are syncing, no one would have missed a note because of the inside joke. Like I said this is TOTAL speculation, I don't know what is really happening.

Wondeful version. This song is originally called "Sá Marina" and was composed by Antônio Adolfo and Tibério Gaspar, two brazilian composers. It was recorded by Wilson Simonal, one of greatest singers of Brazil, in 1968

DW Lani blows people away when she sings, when she is on a video, and, when two guys went back stage and and fell in love with her by her only saying "Well hellow", I wouldn't be surprised if she could cook.
