This to me sounds more like what Death Metal would become in comparison to Possessed and Death’s first releases, where they tend to lean on thrash a bit, this album is basically Death Metal incarnate. Pure genius in its execution and vision.

Bestial Devastation é primeiramente >>MÚSICA<< feita com muito amor por quem ali tocam. Great EP. This Is my Favorite out of there Older music but after they went more into a more Thrash way I love Beneath The Remains. This was more Blackened Thrash before it was called. Blackened Thrash. Brazil had some classic bands you can't count them out of the early stuff this and there First album.

No entiendo por qué esto es considerado Death Metal y el Show No Mercy de Slayer no, obviamente hay originalidad en las canciones, pero todos los primeros albumes o EP's de bandas de Thrash de esta época, suenan igual. Por lo menos es un pensamiento mio. Muy buen soundtrack para jugar un poco al Darksiders

Iván Salvatore el Reign In Blood no suena como esto: Kill Em All, Bonded By Blood, Fistful Of Metal, Killing Is My Bussines, esto, y el primero de Kreator, suena igual.




Y por una simple razon, los locos tenían guitarras pedorras y equipos pedorros, y aun así sonaban de puta madre, solo a partir del 4 o 5 disco existe ya un desarrollo del estilo de cada una de estas bandas, debido a que pudieron equiparse mejor

Tienes que ver el enfoque, puntos de vista y época en las que salieron cada uno...
Mientras el Show no Mercy salía por el 83, en el transcurso del 83 al 86 (donde Salió este EP, junto al Morbid Visions) ocurrieron muchos cambios, de entre ellos mismos discos de Slayer (Haunting The Chappel, Hell Awaits, etc...)
Las influencias latinoamericanas tenian una vision mas oscura del metal, por lo que no era lo mismo el hacer "Thrash" en EEUU, alemania, o Latinoamerica en General, y amigo, el show no mercy no suena nada a Death metal, tan solo fijate en la voz, los riffs y la batería, un saludo!

Maybe need to rethink, always considered Messiah protoblack, also first Sepultura album - a lot of rythm sections similar to black. With beneath the remains album - somehow looks like deaththrash, no discussion there. However, this - for example, 10:50 - 11:10 is black. It is not raw in that section, it is simple, but puckin massive. And in other parts too. Those death parts you can also easily state as deviations from bmetal.

I just accept it as a fact - in beginnings all bands (despite under what flag they went further) sounded a little bit similar, with less certain borders. Even tend to think - all basic directions in mtal in that period they all created toegether, after that they went in different directions

@Agris Alonderis: Maybe you need to clean your ears. Messiah from Switzerland were always considered death metal, and that was in the 80's and early 90's, before the whole Norwegian black metal thing. "Rhythm sections" don't make this music "black metal". Death metal with primitive pounding is still death metal. Beneath The Remains is pure thrash, without any death metal elements. Bestial Devastation and Morbid Visions is DM from start to finish. There are no "death parts" that are "deviations". It's death metal tremolo riffs and growling all the time. Claiming that Messiah and early Sepultura or Sarcofago are "black metal" is nothing but revisionism, as those bands were called death metal in the 80's and early 90's. And 10:50-11:10 sounds more like fast punk rock than metal.

@Piotr B It is good that you mentioned which Messiah from 6 you meant (I hope that it is not any from 30 other with second name in bands full name). If it is with album "Extreme cold weather", it is clear which it is. My favourite (at the moment) bmetal group is CANTIQUE LÉPREUX (from Quebeck, they had other formations good enough to mention). This is called second wave bm? With them everything is clear. Other big names comes in mind - Dissection, Immortal, Emperor. With death comes in mind Death, CC, Entombed, Grave. But still Messiah ECW looks like something before first Mayhem album, no offends intended.

I was listening to this as thrash and I was like "man this is awful how could such a good band make this" then I listened to it as black metal, and it sounded waaaaaaaaaaay better when I got in the black metal mindset.

A lot of bands in their beginning played in that time first wave bm. However, I better prefer separated bm (Immportal/Abbath, Emperor) and deaththrash. Maybe they all played in same pool, however it sounds better separated IMHO.
