This is one of my favorite new discoveries (if it matters to you who's reading this). I've been away from my favorite pastime due to addiction and jail'n. Besides that , I'm one of those aging loser stoners who has always felt unattractive to the world and felt like I didn't belong (and I still do at 50). Im still a fan of King Diamond and all that. The single eventually reached number one in the UK.[16] Seal subsequently signed to ZTT Records and released his self-titled début album (produced by Trevor Horn) in 1991. Two versions of the album are known to be in circulation: the original "premix" version and a second, more common version with an updated mix. This is attributed to the demand for a produced single rushing the final album edit and, as Seal puts it, his and producer Horn's "inability to let go".[17]

Seal was positively received by critics. The singles "Crazy", "Future Love Paradise" and his own rendition of "Killer" performed well on the charts. This is from his 1991 self-titled debut - Still his best IMO. But this version is 'sanitized' - they faded out before that beautiful finale with just voice acoustic guitar, strumming those minor 11 chords.

In mid-1991 this became famous, reminding me of when I was 18 - although I now look 103 because I served in the Forces too long! Never knew Trevor Horn produced this, always thought he was more Billy Bragg 'n' stuff. Have learned something there - so CHEERS! :o)

Gosh! I can't believe it's been so many years since this came out! It reminds me of how old I am. Yikes! ;-) I agree with folks who are saying how much the quality of music has changed. I like my music to have substance with words I can understand. Hmm... I seem to remember folks that were 20+ years older than me, years ago, saying similar things about the music of MY generation... LOL! =)))

They just don't make the music like they used to.....sigh....

This song ROCKS, because in MOST SONGS, the songwriters go with the tried-and-true up-swing in melody, they take the refrain and just bring it an octave higher to work as the Bridge for the song... but SEAL, he takes it and brings it DOWN!! Very musically daring feat!
