Fuck I looove this fuckin band,have since 92....this here kids is what we used to call a kick ass fuckin band,sorry you guys missed those days....you could go to a club/bar & see these guys playing these songs & it was a guaranteed great time,are Migos concerts like that? How about a Travis Scott show? Lots of talent on display there?

I think THIS is the song where the band finally got in sync with Lanegan's natural vocal style. He wasn't trying to vocalize like a traditional "rock" singer-- singing too forcefully, too loudly, elongating notes. Here he's settled back into a slower, bluesier style and man it's fantastic. They finally got it right, perfect even. And then broke up.

Goddamn I've got such a huge boner for this song! This is definitely one of my favorite vocal performances by Lanegan.

Stunning. We're losing this amazing period in rock history, one by one. The artists of the early/mid 90's rock renaissance. RIP Chris Cornell. Mark, please hang around at least a bit longer. Dust is my personal favorite album of all time and trust me, I've heard it all.

@Rodney Thirteen yep, in this case, I think he is pondering how it's been a long time since he's been face to face with the revelator he keeps in the nightstand.

Yeah, basically it's a song about ending it all. He's become convinced there's no other way. Every piece of it hurts. It'll take his cares away. It's GREAT because they never say "gun." Or "shoot myself."

This is one of the greatest songs ever written, and recorded, ever.....it is just a perfect song....

And sadly on their final album, not 5 or 6 albums ago... I wish they would reform. The world needs music like this.

This song is so worth owning and absorbing into your bloodstream that I can't recommend it enough. One "dislike?" Are you f-ing kidding me?

Lanegan's voice is one of the most expressive I've ever heard. I've only seen him three times live, but I find all his music to be extremely moving--live or recorded. And the rest of the band were fantastic as well. 

i have sweet oblivion dust and uncle anesthasia and i love their music but could someone explain to my why they broke up?

I love Lanegan and his amazing solo output but Gary, Van, Mark P and Barrett were the rest of the glue that made this band incredible. This is timeless music that I never tire of. Sorry Pearl Jam, Mudhoney and to a lesser extent Nirvana you don't have shit on the Screaming Trees.

Yes I just went on his site. I am wondering when he will ruse it as a platform to give me, and other true fans what they really fucking want... More demos,unreleased material the trees did circa 1985-1991. I have stuff nobody else has, short of the band themselves, but still. I know there is more. If Lee doesn't put out stuff soon I am going to go insane :) Van I know is really stingy when it comes to releasing older stuff they did. he isn't quite as proud of it as Lee.

@Sean021122 there are two more songs. Van Conner apparently has started up a record label and he is releasing the last two as a 7" single. not sure when.

It sounds like a less commercial take on "troubled Times" or something off sweet oblivion. I'm still waiting on more demos from these last sessions. I know they put out more than just the 9 fucking songs I got demos of :s
