Screaming Trees - Nearly Lost You Lyrics
Did you hear the distant cry
Calling me back to my sin
Like the one you knew before
Calling me back once again
And it's taken us somewhere
I nearly lost you there
Let's try to sleep now
Drag me far enough to know
I'm blind every mile that you burn
There's a rider that's fallen and
It's clear there's no time to return
I nearly, I nearly lost you there
I nearly lost you there
Well let's try to sleep now
Did you hear the distant lie
Calling me back to my sin
Like the one you knew before
Calling me back once again
I nearly, I nearly lost you there
And it's taken us somewhere
I nearly lost you there
Well let's try to sleep now
I nearly lost you there
I nearly lost you
I nearly lost you there
I nearly lost you there
I nearly lost you there
Oh yeah, nearly lost you there

Mark "THE VOICE" Lanegan. And I have said that! (Well, At least on the studio).
Just realized how the band set up on the dirt of that rodeo arena is a nod to Pink Floyd's 'Live At Pompei'. An I've known this video and song since 1991, when it came out!
LOVED his time on the first season of REAL WORLD!!!!!
I love that song I used to think this video was cool...... my wife just puked in her mouth a little bit after I showed her
I'm back... ROCK The FUC\K On...
Fine tune Cambria and Coheed" with The Cult and this could be the Most Cohesive Band of The Century!
Is it a coincidence that this music has died out along with anything else masculine? Now we have soy-boy hipsters playing ukulele and toy xylophones. 🤢And they all wear glasses because their vegan diets are low in real vitamin A. #GoCarnivore
I'm here because I am cool as ice
Great song by a great band who never realized the success they deserved.
I remember this song was playing during some USAF propoganda film I was watching in a smelly theater at Lackland AFB trying to stay awake and not get yelled at during basic back in 93, I remember suicide blonde was on right before it.......ah fuck, here comes the flashbacks

Just great dumming too.
Callin' me back once again
Lion-O on the drums
He reminds me of Ian Astbury
What a great song not only for the 90s but all time. What a great band.
Very overlooked band. And Barrett Martin is one of the most overlooked hard rock drummers.
The vocal is Jim Morrison face
I new nothing about alternative rock after getting fired from classic rock station and was pleasantly surprised and the best part I could pick my own songs , didn't get paid but hell , was turned on to LEmon heads , Liz Phair , and the one and only PJ Harvey but they rather play " another one bites the nuts " 5 , 6, times a day BUT the plan was Miley and the other viruses . Shame , but that's how square and compass rolls .
Tempos do extinto TORRE DR ZERO Na Vila Madalena em São Paulo
a VERY underrated band.
*dusts off combat boots*

today I sing this song to myself. to me. drink to me!

Mark Lanegan gives off a Jim Morrison vibe in this video. (Actually, the whole vid gives off a Doors vibe).
My first “Friend almost died of suicide” song, This will always be huge to me ❤️
Dam... that drummer is killing it .. 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
The 90s were the darkest, most miserable times of my life. Sometimes I wonder if the music was the only thing keeping me here. Suffice it to say things got a lot better for me since then, but during that time, music went all the way into the toilet. Life is all about trade offs, I suppose.
The opening of the song gives me chills and makes me want to rage at the same time. This is a spectacular song, imo.
seems the same guy who directed rusty cage of soundgarden
Staying up late sunday nights for 120 Minutes. Never thought how much i would miss it till now.
I was in my early 20s and immediately fell for this sound! I rushed to my nearest record shop and bought SWEET OBLIVION,,,

Grunge is not dead
I was so good looking back then
who are those fatties with mark lieagain
Fog of time, clears.
That looks like the building that was supposedly haunted by a deceased priest.
Every now and then I have to come back to this gem of a song to see him and his magic hair.😍😍😍😍
Somebody wrote the name of this artist and song on the book I have to read. Not bad
"Grunge" PNW/Seattle forever!!!
Cue the 2019 Gen Z zoomer with, "Where are the blacks!!!!"
I have fond 90's memories of this band, the pain of missing the 90's faded, then this song appeared on one of the GTA radio stations... WASTED
This has to be the most upbeat and jaunty grunge song there was. Except maybe "Daughter".
Both about not-so-happy things.
I miss my long hair.
You randomly click a video in the recommendations and boom....good 90ies stuff :>
Love this kind of old songs they remind me of..
Unbelievable how can you cut this song .
My Dad had that truck.
One of the definitive tracks of the era. A soundtrack to my childhood. Man what a time that was - what a great time to be young and what a great time to be alive.
didn't know vinnie paul played bass for screaming trees in his spare time
remember Mark Lanegan once went to a barmaid in vienna sayin': hey i'm the singer, gimme a glass of whiskey .. and the barmaid said: fuck off !! ..
How good can a band be, this is it
Did you hear the distant cry
Calling me back to my sin
Like the one you knew before

I nearly lost you there
I nearly lost you there
Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah oh
Nearly lost you there
Great song, great voice Mark Lenegan
Visiting the good ol' grunge days. This song is hypnotic. That guitar and that voice. 11/2019
Good tune. But the sound and video is dying to be Soundgarden / Bush
I remember in highschool back when this came out, and i was trying to learn this song on guitar and told my lunch buddies about that, and they thought i was a joke for trying to learn this crap song lol THat fat dude playing bass falling around on the ground was hilarious thou hahah, and afro drummer classic man... I thiink it got alot of play time because it was surfaced around the grunge area, and seen it alot on MTV real late at night when they did the videos 94/95 even thou it was release in 92 ..
Twiizzlers - Kind of reminds me of Chumlee from Pawn Stars.
@Howie Felterbush Yea but that scene man why they made fun me for learning this on guitar lol https://youtu.be/PE5f561Y1x4?t=207
Yea he does look like chum now that you point it out funny...
Screaming trees really have a sort of 60's vibe rock to them. Riff wise. More then a grunge feel for me. I like the fusion element and back in the day it sucked me right into being a fan. Good stuff. Still enjoy these guys.
They split because no one cares because they're crap
God damn it these days are some good times also people, we just can’t see it till it’s gone
I'm 36 years old and that's my first time listening to screaming trees. TBH it's not as good as Smashing Pumpkins or NIN but is good.
My work's music playlist, and memories of people who I loved and are no longer in my life brought me here
I nearly lost your ass!
Sick cow guitar. Yuck.
I nearly lost me here...what a time to be 19.
Was lucky enough to see them live 3 times as a teenager. Back then I was going to a concert a week it seemed like. 30 years later with grown children and grandchildren I haven't been to a concert in at least 3 years. I wish I was 15 again.
Big Day Out, Melbourne 1995. 😎🤘
So underrated! That's probably a term their fans use over and over. Great time for music too!
Back when Lanegan 's voice was something special. No longer the case. Dude doesn't really sing anymore.
DAMN, DO I LOVE THIS SONG.
The singers hair looks like mine
Why does this junkyard have a stage in it?
This is my walk up song in baseball 😎
I'm 15.... I was born too late yall got good music I'm stuck with trash and once in a while some good tunes....
