How I freakin' love this juicy and saturated sound, when you can actually hear guitars, not some desert-dry nonsense with a feeling of an eight-bit soundtrack that most of the people prefer and do nowadays. And it's not even about technology, it's about approach. I wasn't even born that times, but sometimes I wish I did. You can feel that solid vibe.

Metal and rock music really touches themes that other genres don't and this truly makes me happy. Seriously, not every bloody song has to be about "love" relationships or break ups. Like 80% of all songs cover those themes, it's so repetitive and annoying.

A bit inappropriate for inflight entertainment, especially on a 747.

some many years ago, I was browsing my local music store and found a heavy metal mixtape... a literal tape... cassette. This song was on side B of the second cassette. I was not liking heavy metal much till I reached this song. When I reached this song and heard it, metal got me hooked. I listened to the whole tape again as a new person and understood what was going on. What metal meant and how metal rejuvenates every molecule in the body. I got Saxon's "Denim and Leather" from my music store the next week. This happened some 15 years ago and I'm a proud metal fan because of them.
I miss listening to the analog and blurry cassettes. My old walkman and that shitty excuse for an earphone were something of a luxury then. I still have all my old tapes and albums from almost 20 years past. But nothing to listen to them with.

Put Saxon in the history book's of united kingdom ....

I remember this period with deep gratification. Within the period of one year - 1980 we had a British invasion of heavy metal classics hit the stands - Judas Priest - British Steel, Iron Maiden's - Debut album, Saxon - Wheels of Steel, Motorhead - Ace of Spades, Def Leppard - On Through The Night, Black Sabbath - Heaven and Hell. Great time for real metal.
