So enjoyable to listen to Sawyer sing on his own without the band. His voice is so pure and natural. It often sounds like he is struggling to sing over the sound of the band - in my opinion.

I think these 3 lines are very deep for a song... The Soulmate/Twin Soul has hurt you in some way (perhaps in a past life) or in this life by separating from you or running from the relationship for some reason, just as you may have hurt them by your choices, behavior or a separation.

I think here he doesn't want to be a 'runner', he doesn't want to leave the relationship because he or his Twin is afraid of the depth and ardent nature of a love that is centered mainly in the heart (chakra) first, and not the body; and is alot of love and a mission to handle, putting the ego aside for the sake of the relationship, no expectations from the other.

She's 'there' somewhere but out of his immediate sight. They have managed to find each or have become aware of each other over distance. A longing yes. And it's about heart and soul and essence. What a wonderful song. It puts me in touch with parts of me I lost over past few years because of being abused by a loved one, and this brought tears to my eyes.
Sawyer reminds me of that untainted self who I am trying to find again. I am an artist and empathetic person myself and have known the place where Sawyer's brilliant voice comes from. It's amazing to come across his music at such a time. I wish to see him perform live someday, although I am oceans away. Thank you for sharing these recordings. :)

I totally get where you're coming from Ray! I grew up surrounded by abuse and neglect and I feel that Sawyers music connects to that part of me! I feel this young man; whether in his lyrics or his music; feels and knows about those emotions. In some ways he has been a life saver for me. I respect and appreciate him so much! 💛

I saw him at a live performance where he laughed and looked shy and embarrassed at all the cheering when he walked on stage.
