Savoy Brown - Time Does Tell Lyrics
Can see it in your eyes
Grow a little older now
Tell me who is wise
Take a look around you
Tell me what do you see
Just like you and me
We have come a long way
From our 1st Street Hello
Spend our time looking for
The key to the door
My mind is made up
I know where I'm headed to
When your days are over
The world is through with you
I can't tell you what I know
I can't tell you what I know
We are all seeking for more
Time does tell
It's sad but still it's true
Things you may have said and done
Come back home to you
Look into the future
See the clock upon the wall
The hand of time will move on
When we're dead and gone
Listen to my reason
Forget about your dream
Don't look back in anger
What you could have been
My mind is made up
I know where I'm headed to
When your days are over
The world is through with you
I can't tell you what I know
We are all seeking for more
I can't tell you what I know
We are all seeking for more

Savoy Brown Time Does Tell Comments
So freaking badass, they could always sound so spooky so menacing
I love Savoy Brown since day 1 I learned of rock and roll music and that's 40 years ago... Still rockin'
Great band, great guitar player, great blues vocalist. One of the LPs I had on vinyl, 8 track, then cassette, then cd. Timeless.
🔥🔥🔥

14 in 71-72 when my brother turned me on to SB..Looking In. Thank you Ray E. Pierce (I don't have contact info for you in Can. ) for getting me started way back in the 60's like you did.
Intro sounds just like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DT881ZR7kNQ
_Just discovered Savoy Brown. Had heard _*_about_*_ them, but never _*_heard_*_ them. Sounds good._
One of the most underrated English Blues Bands of the late 60s and 70s. Kim also has not been given his props for his guitar work over the years.
I can't believe it hasn't been desecrated to the max by now. The creepy industry that spawned it is evolving in such a gross way; gettin worse day by day. The gist of this song sez it all. It's one of the best ever. That's for sure.
Buen grupo buen sonido me ha sorprendido conocerlos
Time Does Tell!
one of my most favorite bands first album I heard was looking in tripping on liquid acid at my cousins
Kim's guitar solo on this is as good as they come.
in concert at torontos Victory burlesk theator 73 in fuck'n credable
Takes me back there.......
The best savoy brown album of all time
Uhhh, no. Go back and listen to Raw Sienna and Blue Matter.
What a great band...didn't hear them much in the day. I love the fact that we can share in all the past present future on internet.
Keyboard and guitar solo in this ..................ohhhhhhhhhhh so great
Great Album !
Almost CCR in their approach to this song, and none the worse for that. Comparisons are stupid when you get to this level anyway.
rock and roll
I just bought this album on CD! It is a tasty treat to hear. I first saw Savoy Brown live in concert here in Edmonton,Alberta,Canada in 1971 at the old Edmonton Gardens.
Great LP. Thanks for sharing.
Desgraciadamente no fueron comerciales y no los conoce mucha gente, Yo los conozco desde Looking in.
Street corner is a good album but i preffer savoy brown with Youlden on vocals. For example, raw sienna is best album that this one.
s.jones Hall of Fame is right grew up on these guys
suuuuchh a cool song and true
No doubt, it's also fucking timeless, play this for a young kid & they're just like I was @ 14 when my brother turned me onto it. Be surprised at the good music some young kids are into, it's cool to see them just get behind stuff like T-Rex or this and they're sold!
so many muscians came from this band at one point (we know foghat from lonesome dave) but didnt skunk baxter play on this album anybody know tell me
No. He didn't. Savoy Brown were British originally. This line up is Kim Simmonds, guitar, Paul Raymond, Keys, Dave Bidwell, drums, Andy Sylvester, bass, Dave Walker, vocals
They need to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
+Red Blackerby Mr. Lucy don't forget "Juicy Lucy"They don't want this generation to feel what we felt back in the day. Back then where ever you were, you were there
randy ayala ditto!
Maybe someday, in a more just world.
So does Joe Cocker.
Yes why aren't they. I started listening to them when I was 15 now I'm 66 still listening, and loving them..... it's really relative today as when I was young, and I can't be the only one💯❌⭕❌⭕❤💃🔥
Great music
Old School rock n roll
Get your doodly doo sugar beat hippie trail rock fix on right here

One the best GD albums EVER!! PERIOD!!!!
Never get tired of listening to these guys!
Savoy Brown brings back so many memories..I Love Him!!
Love Savoy Brown!!!
Probably one of the Best Albums of all time, one of the first Albums I bought after getting back to the World from Vietnam in 71 along with Looking In and the start of a collection of all Savoy Brown Music. AFAIC Savoy Brown ranks right up there with the best to ever come out of the UK in the 60-70s. It was the greatest Time for meaningful music in History, It's sad what passes as Grate [sic] Music Today, today's Talent couldn't be Roadies for the Bands of that Era......
Lenord Curry, thank you for your service.
Welcome home sir. PS, you have good taste in music!
Glad you made it home, good jam.
that bass line is killin me!!!!
I got to live thru it all.I was 14 in 1967 and I was lucky enough to just miss the vietnam war.The one thing I always wondered about was,why all the creative music at one time. The years between 1964 to 1978 where fill with so much great music and musicians ,that it will never be beat.Every day there was a new album out or a new band to listen to and have to find out about.I still have all my albums from those days all 2 thousand of them.To all the musicians that were there thanks so much for all the great tunes and a great way to grow up.
charles wilson. Couldn't have said it better myself.
What 3 dopes doesn't like this tune? Great album cover as well
One of the best albums....still playin it 40 years later... since my high school days, ha!
A great song about the life of being human
can u upload VANDER GRAFF GENERATOR,ATOMIC ROOSTER?please try--humble request sir!
Ahhh.....Brings back some great memories of drinkin wine and gettin stoned and walkin naked to the lake at night with my girlfriend. Most of the little known underground bands were by far better than the commercialized crap on the top pop of the day.
Steve Holmes nmy oldest brother played drums, said to me "Here, "Newa," my nickname he dubbed me, "listen to some good stuff." My daughter his "New One" neices to pieces is a composer/violinist. Marlo on utube.
For a little known band they sure had a lot of great songs. Back in the seventies, when Savoy Brown first appeared, bands like Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd only thought about how much money was in it, but Savoy Brown was in it for their fans. I believe no other bands could stir up the blues like Savoy Brown>
My best friend married Rod Price...I was the bride's maid
greatest shit to ever happen in my life
I really liked the Chris Youlden years best but I saw this tour & it killed
Great album!!! Album cover is way cool too.
This is by far one of the best tunes,,,EVER!
Me too, I backtracked from there. I saw Savoy Brown (Kim Simmons) a few years ago. Very good.
This is one of those "must have" albums in your collection.
No doubt one of my "lonely-island-records" of all time!!!
