Savoy Brown - She's Got A Ring In His Nose And A Ring On Her Hand Lyrics

Well it ain't somethin' that I like to see
And I hope it never happens to me
When ya see a smiling woman and a frowning man
She got a ring in his nose and a ring on her hand

Well I knew a guy and he was real funky ya know
That was of course until he got lucky
When ya see a smiling woman and a frowning man
She got a ring in his nose and a ring on her hand

Now I know all you men think that you all right
And the one you got well she's all right
When ya see a smiling woman and a frowning man
She got a ring in his nose and a ring on her hand
Well I knew a guy and he was real funky ya know

That was of course until he got lucky
When ya see a smiling woman and a frowning man
She got a ring in his nose and a ring on her hand

Now I know all you men think that you all right
And the one you got well she's all right
When ya see a smiling woman and a frowning man
She got a ring in his nose and a ring on her hand
Ring in his nose and a ring on her hand
Ring in his nose and a ring on her hand

Oh how's that
Yeah
Everybody's got to be unlucky sometime
That's the way it goes

@arhatyellow, You're so right, well said, the years teach much, but as we get older sometimes we(or I) need a "refresher course"!! I've loved Savoy Brown since I was a young kind of naive girl of 16 & didn't always "get" the lyrics, just loved the music🎶🎤🎶🎩👄💓Now I'm 63,& still love them & my LP's,I "get" the lyrics, still so relevent😘

    D.... B....

Deborah Brown whoa girl! I'm 63 an loved S.B. before I knew what the blues were! Sometimes I think that last verse of 'Needle n Spoon had a big effect on me! That was the only thing I Didn't try back then!
    P. S. Was that you I gave a Qualude while they played ' Hellbound train' ? I think her name was Debbie?!

    Great post!!!! Thanks!!!

  41. a.... ....

@anthonyrago : You rock dude! One of the great blues tunes from either shore, and one of my personal favorites. Hard for me to believe that when I first heard this tune, I had no idea what they were talking about! The years teach much. And then you have to live the lesson. More Savoy Brown today (that's what today's well-dressed, well-spoken, young people need). I love the Blues (she heard me cry) - George Duke

  42. n.... ....
