Savatage - Red Light Paradise Lyrics

You long for the touch of the metal man
But on nights like this any man would do
You're a lady of the night, a guardian of the light
It's burning hot in you
Feel it burn inside you, yeah

Red light paradise
Red light in paradise
Red light paradise
Red light paradise
Oooh yeah

How long do you think you can carry on your wicked ways of love
Does it ever ever bring you down?
Is this why you were made, for this you're getting paid
And you really like the foolin' around
Sometimes you feel like running but you never will

Red light paradise
Red light paradise
Red light paradise
Red light in paradise
Oooh yeah, yeah

You're hot and ready for love tonight
You're always eager to be amused
Turn on the light in your window
At times it's blazing bright
You scream for love tonight
It's hot and it's burning in you

HELL YEAH THIS IS GREAT SHIT , THANX SO MUCH FROM SHERIDAN , WYOMING , R.I.P. CRISS AND PAUL

  6. m.... ....

Hands down this is the best track of Savatage's worst album.

    m.... ....

+Christian McGuire Hyde is a cool track but i'll stick with the album's closer.

    m.... ....

Out on the Streets is great. I prefer the Sirens version, but the music is still the same.

    m.... ....

Gotta disagree this song is cool but I think Hyde is probably the best song on that album.

    m.... ....

I love this album. The one I didn't like was gutter ballet.

    m.... ....

Hyde is easily best song on album, after that The Edge Of Midnight all the other songs are decent or average.

  7. D.... R....

Real metal!!! To hell with the critics and nit pickers.

  8. d.... ....

I, too, was surprised to see this album heavily criticized.
In my opinion this album is how an 80's Heavy Metal one should be. Its tone can sadly not be found in nowadays music.

insane band , saw em lamours 1985 i belive ? its on youtube ,front row , i was singing the last 2 tunes w/ jon and another dude , it was so great , ive seen them like 4 times ! new years ever 1987 w/ dio and megadeth was sick sool ! see ya , alz / nyc / l.a. / vegas / florida beachs !

  10. M.... ....

    I will, Thanks!

  11. M.... W....

I will check those out as well.

Here are some you must see: Allan Holdsworth Mac Man, Derryl Gabel Miles from Home, Magnus Olssen None Secret Hat Tower (Sweden Ibanez Demonstration) and Randy Rhoads Texas Sound Check.

Dimebag Darrel 1984 solo and Edward Van Halen 1988 Solo (VH France) are my favorites too!

  12. M.... ....

Yes, these kinds of players are of top quality. Although I've not heard of some of who you mentioned, I'll check them out!
Also, a guitarist you might enjoy is: Jason Becker
But his playing is more neoclassical and not so much legato oriented, but what he managed to do during his short year as a guitar player is IMO amazing.
    Here are some videos: /watch?v=J7MEDrzcPbM

I watched those and was mesmerized to say the least!

Rice with the Angels intro sounded like Heaven.

Not Again the ending truly is a roller coaster. He was using Holdsworthian Legato, Hybrid Picking and String Skipping at blistering speeds! I never seen someone move that fast before!

The drummers and bassists were awesome too!

I love legato guitar: Allan Holdsworth, Derek Taylor, Derryl Gabel, Shawn Lane and Magnus Olssen.

Even some metal guitar with legato: Randy Rhoads and Criss Oliva.

    M.... W....

Randy Rhoads is my favorite with Criss Oliva being a close second. Some days like today Criss is my preference.

  14. M.... W....

I will check them out bud!

    Thanks a bunch!

  15. M.... ....

Yes, he was a true prodigy! Yes, I've seen that one, everything he did was of the highest quality too!
Have you seen the improv videos with other talented musicians? They are sick! Here are some:

    Shawn Lane!

I know of him and he is awesome! Have you ever seen the video of him at age 16? He was shredding in the seventies better than anyone else!

Have you seen Grey Piano's Flying? He was really awesome! I wish I was that good.

  17. M.... ....

Also, if you want to check out someone who had possibly the best legato in existence(both musically and technically), search for "Shawn Lane - not again" is a great example of great musicality and technical ability. The ending may not appeal to everyone in a musical way, but I see in the way of a "musical roller coaster" instead of a "walk in the park".

  18. M.... ....

Ah, you're right. That's legato as in its true meaning, but not as in "hammer-ons pull-offs and slides" though. I wouldn't say that it is Allan styles though, his playing style was very odd and used a lot of "outside" notes and weird intervals. But Criss Oliva was a very talented guitarist nonetheless! Too bad he passed away, the have more of his guitar work on the rest of the albums would have been awesome!

  19. M.... W....

He is also using scalar legato.

    3:30 - 3:34 is a primary example.

To me his legato is exciting like Allan's. I wish I was this good. Unfortunately I wasn't born with it.

Search for Savatage City Beneath the Surface Queens, NY.

    His solo begins at 3:06.

You will see him using the scalar legato right here.

  20. M.... W....

There are scales he is playing with legato as well.

    3:30 - 3:34 is one main example.

Search for City Beneath the Surface 1985 or Savatage 1985.

You will see him using scalar legato here.

To me his legato is exciting like Allan's. I wish I was as good as him. Unfortunately I wasn't born with it.

  21. M.... ....

I'd say that the only part that may be considered legato in its true meaning would be the tapping-part between 3:21 and 3:26. Otherwise he's not really sticking to any special technique(an occasional hammer-on or pull-off is not considered legato in "guitar terms".

  22. M.... W....

In other words you're saying it's not true legato but alternate legato?

  23. M.... ....

If it's guitar-legato as in using hammer-ons, pull-offs and sliding, not really. It's not really legato in it's original meaning either(connecting notes).

  24. M.... W....

Throughout the entire outro guitar solo which is metal legato.

The tone is different but the same principle.

  25. M.... ....

Just asking, where is the Holdsworth like legato?

  26. M.... W....

Plus it has awesome guitar work!

This song for example has Holdsworth like legato which is extremely impressive for the time period.

  27. R.... ....

"Guardian of delight", not "guardian of light" ... :D

  28. D.... ....

    Niezniszczalna muza

  29. D.... ....

cant understand why people diss this album. sure the critics put it down as a flunked commercial attempt but peopel forget to think for themselves this still sounds like the earlyer raw tight prog/power metal era from the times of sirens, power of the night and hall of the mountain king, 3 great albums and this one fits right in the middle, i love all their stuff im gna own their complete discology
