Saga - Hands Of Time Lyrics

For every word there is forgiveness
For every lie I stand defenseless
Under the moon the truth is buried
Your silent wound is my cross to carry

Through the narrow hands of time
An open door will lead you far and wide
In a world we learn to fly
You're running for a lonely place to hide

A lonely world will remember
Every empire won't surrender
My point of view is rendered empty
The burden lies in my hands of entry

Through the narrow hands of time
An open door will lead you far and wide
In a world we learn to fly
You're running for a lonely place to hide
Through the narrow hands of time

Through the narrow hands of time
An open door will lead you far and wide
In a world we learn to fly
You're running for a lonely place to hide

When the lonely road is far and wide
In the mystery of your mind
And you're searching for a place to hide
Then the history, then the history comes alive

In the mystery of the mind
Then the history comes,
The history comes alive

Saga Hands Of Time Comments

But Benoit from Belgium denies this episode. If I buy a Saga album, it is not to get back home with some odd remake of Silent Lucidity by a singer that might be great in another band, but NOT in Saga. It's as odd as if someone would have put John Wetton (a great singer) in Duran Duran or Dio in Ultravox. So this trash here will be forever the album-who's-title-I-will-always-till-my-last-breath-refuse-to-name. It's an "episode" for sure, but gosh, what a total waste. Even the album cover is odd. If I weren't me, I would now need a strong drink to wipe away that sour feeling in my throat. I'll stick to a healthy glass of milk, supporting for the dairy industry at the same time. Now isn't that macho ?

Pity a lot of Saga fans diss on this album. Im a huge Saga fan and I love this one. This singer is awesome. Go buy yourselves a pack of Q tips and clean the shit out of your ears. I hate it when all people do is make comparisons. Its a different sound and album for Saga. I for one welcomed a change. Michael came back and delivered a few more great albums after this. Sometimes a break is a good thing because I like the subsequent albums better than recent older ones.

It's not Saga, sadly Michael Sadler retired in 2007. While this guy has a cute voice of an 80's hair band, the dreamy wizardry of Saga was lost when Michael departed. I like this song, but it sounds nothing like the mesmerizing energy of Saga. Remember it was Saga and Toto that invented the guitar sound that metal bands still used to this day.

Comes dangerously close to copycatting "Silent lucidity" ! Singer is not the one that should be in this band, this mix sounds as odd as Simon Le Bon becoming the lead singer of Toto. Both have their merits, but some things simply never should be mixed. It's almost an insult to the older Saga work, and the only explanation I see is some extra earnings (to quote the title of an Outfield CD) for the remaining band members. Genesis too tried something similar, but also wisely decided to get together with Collins again. And if Saga's instrumentalists absolutely wanted to go on making music with or without Sadler, fine with me, but than call the band something else. The White Moose Project or something like that, I don't know.

This song is brilliant SO moving, inspiring and slightly melancholy at the same time.Rob has a different voice than Mike but still a great voice,Rob should be bigger but alas the Canadian music scene here is very hard with so much Shit Hop and Rap in the lead. Wish I could have heard this live....

Yes Batphink I certainly agree! At least one person responded lol!

....The execution is great & so is the songwriting....But Saddler is the voice of Saga & there's no replacing him. This guy reminds me of Styx.

"Human Condition" is both musically & lyrically a brilliant release by Saga, and this song is indicative of great thought put to the art of song writing:
"For every word there is forgiveness. For every lie, I stand defenseless. Under the moon the truth is buried. Your silent wound is my cross to carry."

love this singer's voice. I'll have to look him up- guess he had to leave to make room for Saddler's return.

  15. A.... C....

I agree so what if Michael Sadler didn't sing on this? Id LOVE to hear him play some songs from The Human Condition live.

ZackT618 Michael Sadler left SAGA in year 2007, but don't worry Michael is in2011 back to SAGA.

Yes sorta of melancholy, ethereal yet uplifting at the same time, yet another song of brilliance from the very under rated SAGA!
