This is the piano playing that made me fall in love with Leon's stuff back in the '70s. The added percussion is perfect, wish I could hear it better.

I'll never forget that Leonard Cohen and Leon Russell died within a week of each other and it was the same week Trump got elected... all the cool people were packing up and the worst ones were crawling out of the pit. The same year that Prince, Bowie and George Michael died too.

Leon is the reason I no longer play only guitar but had to take up piano. That helps in recording.

Been commenting here for a few years . I knew Leons health was not good as of late. Im just a guy who heard Willow the Wisp as a kid in Oklahoma in '76 and became a life long fan . Leon was from Oklahoma like me and we all knew who he was . I will celebrate his life and not mourn ..that is what he would want ..sure miss you though.

I just heard the news of Leon's passing and am deeply saddened by the info. I can't stop crying, my youth was wrapped around his music and especially his voice. I always felt so connected and will miss him terribly and forever...sleep well my dear sweet Leon!
