I honestly hear a lot of Tool influences. That's not to say it's a bad thing. The emotion she evokes and the way she sings reminds me Maynard James Keenan and the way the instruments are layered over makes it so comfortably haunting.

I've always loved Emma for telling very personal stories in her music. After all the pained she shared on Marked for Death, it's really uplifting to see her now tell a beautiful story about the love she and her husband share. Great song. Can't wait for the album.

I think this is what I've been waiting to hear for 50 (yes, 50) years: An unaffected, feminine and unpretentious female singer backed by solid, heavy rock 'n' roll. Swampy, indelibly unlit and somehow comforting, peripherally. Strangely, I think of Lucinda Williams. I know. But, really, that's a compliment.

Come back and tell me you still like her. She wasn't the same metal goth chick back then. But that's not a bad thing. Just saying you don't know wtf you're talking about. She wasn't always this way nor was her music. Chelsea played more dark folk music than what she's come out with the last two albums. And Emma has always evolved in her music yet doesn't need to drastically change her music and image to sell records or for fame.
