Rufus Wainwright - I'm Not Ready To Love Lyrics
I'm not ready to love, I'm not ready for peace
I'm givin' up the dove to the beast
I'm not ready to surrender to another glove murderer
I'm not ready to love, I'm not ready to to fly
So you can take my sin in up above on high, say goodbye
I'm not ready to love, I'm not ready to love
I'm not ready to love until I'm ready to love you the way you should be loved
Until I'm ready to hold you the way you should be held
You should be held, but I'm not ready to

Rufus Wainwright I'm Not Ready To Love Comments
thought this was an ike turner cover. should have known
Classic Rufus! I adore dramatic, surprising twists with piano and voice. The way song fades in the end is simply brilliant.
Rufus Wainwright is a GOD!
Love this song.
I always pictured a video for this song in my head and it went like this:
Rufus walking through a crowded shoppingstreet while it was lightly snowing. He was the only one walking towards the camera, the other people were all walking in his direction. And at the time where the song gets more bombastic (around 3:40) the snow would become heavier and the other people would sort of disappear, so by the end of the song it would only be Rufus wlaking in a snowstorm.
