Kids, this is just beautiful! At a concert, Steve Kilbey once told a story of how this song came on the radio as he was taking a cab to the airport. "Hey! That's my song!" he told the cabbie. "I've always bloody hated that song," the cabbie replied. I think Steve did too, for a while, but the band played it in Kansas City last year. You kids do a great version of it. Thanks.

The Church's Unguarded Moment hit me like a freight train... came on the radio I was there with my tape deck, pressing play/record... came on at the blue light disco - we were all running to the dance floor and it got a hell of a beating in front of the dressing table mirror with hair brush in hand.... this version is ABSOLUTELY FKN BRILLIANT.... all you pickers and prodders , whingers and whiners really need to sort yourselves out.....

I’d really like the guitarist to have got the main riff correct. Every time it came around I felt it detracted from what is otherwise a rather fine effort.

Woeful. Millennial interpretation of what is a really good song played with very little passion or enthusiasm. Then again, I'm old enough to remember when the original came out. And like as was said before, be nice if the guitarist could hit all the notes. It's a no from me.

Initially i got goosebumps, but then remembered how I love the "darkness" of the original. I do like this one but it lacks the depth of the original.

Don't assume her singing prowess man. Yeah it's the way they made it, I would just have preferred closer to the original. It's Hella good with her vocals, just the high bit doesn't sit as well as the rest

​@Pertster1 I also don't particularly like the way the two guitars are panned so left and right. Maybe if they had the panned her guitar more to the centre it would have masked the vocal parts that she struggled with

I never mind when a cover takes a different approach to the original. If i need a note for note copy, then I’ll just listen to the original. Otherwise, a good cover can help find another side to the story.
