But looking at it from a 2019 pop music viewpoint, this is almost avant-garde.

Just a perfect track. In fact the only true to be called 'timeless' on the Avalon album.
And do not get me wrong, I love that album, since it is perfect from most viewpoints, but it is just not a contemporary piece at all.

And still it is uncomparable to those early masterpieces of the band, spanning the early four albums, where it seems more than impossible to name one track outforcing another.

This here track is one of a kind, just as this band is.

Let us hope this band will get the reputation it deserves some time from now, since being one of the most influential of them all.

Any idea why Roxy Music disbanded after Avalon? Avalon is one of my all time favourite album.

I almost enjoy the video more than I do the music. Very surreal imagery that seems without rhyme or reason. Typical fare served up by Bryan Ferry. So much of his music and the imagery he employs in video seems to have as its foil the erotic.
