Roxy Music - Take A Chance With Me Lyrics
As they say, two can play
But keep that song away from me
In my time too much love
Has made me sad for so long
I was blind, can't you see
Heaven knows, I believe
Won't you take a chance with me
Sometimes I get so blue
People say I'm just a fool
All the world, even you
Should learn to love the way I do
I was lost, can't you see
Through the long lonely night
Heaven knows, I believe
You can take a chance with me

Roxy Music Take A Chance With Me Comments
Nine Inch Nails brought me here!
A great band that really knows what the concept of the art rock really was.PHIL MANZANERA is a remarkable talent with his sound and creativity in his guitar.
The opening puts me somewhere far away. It's like sonic memories connected to dated images.
REM must have heard this track
Абсолютное совершенство ...
recently reminded of this track once again , its so good a hidden gem..
I call this the National NV-300 song, because it reminds me of the best effort Japanese excellence of early 1980s.
This is one of the greatest albums ever recorded by a band!
beautiful song, but what do I need the first 1:20 for?
i love the melody, it brings me a positive vibe.
Roxy Music's album, "Avalon" was light years ahead of its time. But, then again, Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music were pioneers in their field.
BEAUTIFUL WORK + A COSMIC CONVERGENCE OF MUSICIANS+ CLEARMOUNTAIN + LUDWIG + KISS OF THE MUSIC GODS

Love this song
what a tune. heard it on forgotten 80s on absolute 80s last night
Manic Monday pinched this tune
Never tire of their art. Positively timeless & lost today
This remaster is superb.
Magnificent song, from a magnificent album. For me, this is the best song off the album, but there were so many of them.
Nin sampled this in their song 'Closer'
I think it's the best track of the album. You can travel all night long, for a woman you fall in love......
Absolutely brilliant !
Tae a chance with everyone. You will find a partner, even if it ends up being you in the mirror.IF it ends up being you in the reflection, then you will now it is time to RUN
One from the heart baby 🙏
Wait--700 likes and 59 dislikes?!? Who the hell dislikes this? Seriously. This is my absolute favorite song of all time.
People with no taste of fantastic music...I feel for them🙄
one of the greatest records in history - just brilliant on all fronts
Still get goosebumps listening to this! Sooooo wonderful and dreamy! 🥰
What a way to go out. Save the best for last. Viva! Roxy Music ♥
That intro...... masterful!
Great band and Album. They never made a bad album
This one is my favorite!
THis is one of the best songs I ever heard from roxy music
Kudos to Andy Newmark...one of the finest drummers out there. This whole album exudes quality and mastery - production, engineering, mixing, mastering and not forgetting the superstar line up of musicians and, of course, the cherry on the cake, Bryan Ferry.
Absolutely. Being a Bassist myself, i sometimes take a moment to remember Alan Spenner. Supreme session player for Roxy. A great loss to the music industry.
43 people didn't take a chance with him. Pricks.
republicans,,they have no soul
Absolutely masterful
Y tanto, temazo!
take a chance on rizz
There was a time when talented musicians were making masterpiece songs...
guy gélinas This WAS that time, guy.
If you don't like this song, you don't like song.
thank you Ted
Hauntingly beautiful. Well deserved Hall of fame induction this year.
Wonderful!
sounds like a lover lost at see a Viking who wants a wife.
made 4 eternity?
Perfection
LOVE THIS BAND
Roxy Music deserves RRHOF.... best band out there!
No one would make this album today.
@Mario Young lurv Destroyer yer blues, rubies, and Dan. Who is going to the Avalon San Diego show in couple weeks? Who in?
@Thomas Mendyka Yeah, except it's not. There is still plenty of talent and creativity out there. You just won't find it on the radio. Spotify and Pandora are your friends.
yes aIways think it's mad when peopIe say there's no good music around today - sure most of the charts are pretty bad but there's Ioads of good music to find on youtube / spotify / soundcIoud etc
great aIbum though!
Difficult. Music from this era was costly to make. Without big label backing it's near impossible. Remember U2's first couple of albums bombed, but the label stuck by them. There isn't the money or the culture to nuture bands today. Sad though it is.
MacKay plays oboe not sax on this gem.
This one is probably the best on the album - the guitar is so perfect - Thank you Phil Manzanera
Erin Stanfield
LOVE this song !!!
Erin Stanfield Erin, are you familiar with the song Diamond Head, from the album 801 Live? Phil Manzanera at his most powerful. Really stunning.
