Ross, Diana - Who Lyrics
Who left my lover in the rain
Who washed away the colors in my life again
Who left my lover in the rain
Who washed away the colors in my life
What else can I do
But he becomes another man
Another case of fool
Why go on living and giving up
Much more than I receive
Its taken time to realize
But now I've opened my eyes to you
Who left my lover in the rain
Who left my lover in the rain
Who washed away the colors in my life
But who is right, who was wrong
When love just fades away
It could've been me, it could've been you
But now I never find out who
Who left my lover in the rain
Who washed away the colors in my life again
Who left my lover in the rain
Who washed away the colors in my life again
Who left my lover in the rain

I Have & i like this album vinyl !
The album wasn't that great , but this by far was the best track. I can't get enough.
love this song🔥💯
One of my favourites of her 😍♥😘 thanx for sharing 👍
This was writer by the late Lynsey De Paul with Barry Blue. Two UK performers and songwriters in their own right. This is one hell of a storming great song. Dramatically arranged and wonderfully sung. Fantastic. Thanks. It made my night.
This song was written by Barry Blue and is actually a cover version. The original was sung by a British entertainer named Marti Caine and her version featured on her (very rare and expensive!) album “Point Of View”
Wow what a great song I totally forgot this song
Probably that same fool who abandoned the cake with the green icing out there. >:-<
Good one ! Laughin my azz off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
RCA dropped the ball with her.................fucked up her career
This and also Anywhere You Run To were great off this album. :)
"Who" rocks!
I completely agree...actually this song went number one on billboard dance charts....i danced to it my first year in college
One of my favourite songs of hers. It´s just superb.
One of the few great RCA cuts.
Haven't heard this musical masterpiece since I lost my vinyl many many moons ago. Thank God for You Tube!
Sam Jennings I was thinking the same 😊
andy Warhol
5/13/92 forever. Could be nothing else. SK
who left my lover in the rain?
Yes, who left my lover in the rain. Was it you?
This was a great cd, I loved it, it should've done way better, but the US has always been fickle when it comes to music. Though not a major hit cd for Miss Ross, she still shines and reigns Supreme regardless. She's The Boss, The Legend, The Diva Extraordinaire...
This was such a classic cd...it should've done way better than it did...it sounds like classic Chic.
@wonderboyjoy ok, they've released so many DR greatest hits cd's here in the usa that they go unnoticied, probably a good 10 or more over the years. nearly all of them are exclusively the pre-RCA material with the exception of "missing you" a huge hit here.
@whatigot2say yes i think so. diana's greatest hits package in the UK is doing well as we speak and it has 1980's material on it. it doesn't seem to detract from her other stuff. imo. cheers.
@wonderboyjoy you think so? the sound quality on most of the rca stuff wasn't up to par, sounded cheap not mixed well, didn't have the sound of the successful songs fo that era. this song is a nice song but but sounds like a album filler.
@whatigot2say they were commercial bombs but those 80's albums had some great songs and sounds. her 1987 album was a great pop/jazz influenced winner musically if not commercially. it was impossible for diana to maintain such hit making after 30/40 years in the business. she still had hits up until 2004. cher, for example, had on avergae one hit each decade. diana was far more prolific than her contempories.
i loved it when Diana put her heart and soul into a disco song, she was just a few years too late for this to be a big disco hit though! love this song, Silk Electric was a great album
Poor diane by this point RCA was beginning to think they made a big blunder by signing her to the label, what followed was flop after flop, she released more bombs than the US Army.
there was a commercial of Ross on MTV......they were playing "Swept Away" ....then break then slam the record in pieces .....stated WE DONT PLAY THIS .......MTV
exactly. She was a left over from Motown and she was dated when RCA purchased her. By the time they had her they knew she has a limited range and she has no musical talent.
I love this song.
I LOVED this album... she can do nothing wrong... she has walked me through my whole life... what a STAR***************
