Ross, Diana - The Man I Love Lyrics

Someday he'll come along
The man I love
And he'll be big and strong
The man I love
And when he comes my way
I'll do my best to make him stay

He'll look at me and smile
I'll understand
Then in a little while
He'll take my hand
And though it seems absurd
I know we both won't say a word

Maybe he'll come sunday
Maybe monday, maybe not
Still I'm sure he'll come one day
Maybe tuesday will be
My good news day

We'll built a little home
Just meant for two
From which I'll never roam
Oh, what would you
And so all else above
I'm dreaming of the man I love

  17. M.... B....

Oh Miss Ross, nobody does it better..  :>)

  18. V.... M....

I love her version of this song I wish she would also do a full version of Lady sings the blues, I like when singers sing the songs and not attack the songs this type of music you don't attack it like some other singers do brilliantly done Miss Diana Ross

  19. H.... m....

omg i love her voice and love this song too 💋💋💋

  20. T.... S....

What a wonderful singer she oozes through so swiftly

  21. W.... ....

This isn't bad, but compared to Liza Minnelli, or her mother, it's not even close. -----------WolfSky9, 71 y/o

  22. s.... v....

Not a bad version, but nobody does it like ella fitzgerald.

  23. L.... N....

  24. a.... s....

i thought the way the cops etckept going out of their way to destroy her ability to earn aliving there were lots of people doing dope hank williams was able to get a card that said was a registered opiate addict could have it in his posession . why didnt some try to get billie something like that? her singing was keeping her alive. being strung out is so difficult but then to have the pieces of your life that dope rule ripped away from you as if you dont deserve to be anything else besides a junkie. there were noy alot of women who shot dope in those days and it seemed like the system wanted to punish her for for finding a way to cope with the pain in her life .the system killed her not heroin.

    a.... s....

anna smith because shes a black woman.

  25. T.... G....

    very nice with flute

  26. G.... W....

    she seems so sweet

  27. s.... h....

I'm in love with that time but I cant find I'm looking.

  28. J.... K....

Streisand usually gets the votes for her version of these classic jazz songs, but in this case Ross has my vote on this one. Her rendition of this so much better than Barbra's.

    J.... K....

I never see things as a competition I can enjoy both or all versions... Diana has a great yearning her voice

    J.... K....

Brian Eduardo : What she was BORN TO DO IS SING! AMAZING!!! 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩

ufffffff I m crazy for hackar 1 month

  33. c.... ....

  34. J.... S....

I'm right here Diana!!!!! Let's do it...lets fall in love!!

    J.... S....

👑🌍👠💅👄: This what Mz. Ross was meant to SING🎵🎩🎩

  35. I.... C....

please make this available on mobile devices

  36. F.... ....

Diana just purred through that song. Lovely!

  37. B.... Y....

Thanks to Diana Ross' interpretation of Billie Holliday's music in "Lady Sings the Blues" an entire generation knows the words of the greatest jazz songs...

    B.... Y....

@TRIPPY BECKY actually so do I .. DR's voice has a beautiful tonal quality all it's own. She made Holiday's music more pleasant to the ear.  Holiday's voice was unique and had a raw quality to it.

    B.... Y....

@whatigot2say so true the stylings of the 20-40's music is strange i.e. "Bessie" with Queen Latifah also the recent Lady Day interpretation by Audra McDonald. I wonder about the progression of music. Yeah guess I COULD Google it. ha

    B.... Y....

thank u Lady Diana for ur interpretation of Lady Day ....excellence!!!

    B.... Y....

Holiday's voice/tonal quality is best described as "bittersweet." What up, What? hahahaha

    B.... Y....

Not true. I was listening to Billie Holliday before Lady Sings the Blues came out in 72.

  38. n.... E....

She is the greatest singer in Japan.
    We LOVE Ms.ROSS.

  39. j.... A....

Que maravilla!!! Dianna. A la altura de Billie, Anita y Ella...

  40. J.... A....

Wonder what the price per table was of that performance??? Not to mention the security!!!

  41. V.... ....

    Она просто супер!

  42. B.... G....

but look at what she left behind. she did not live in vain.

  43. M.... N....

That was truly a tragedy. A lot of musicians of that time met similar fates. The only major singer I know of who recovered from her addiction was Anita O'Day.

  44. K.... C....

    ain't it tho? life

  45. K.... C....

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HAHA The unfortunate thing is, whenever black people do REAL MUSIC, ONLY WHITE PEOPLE SUPPORT US. TRUST ME. I'M A MUSICIAN, I KNOW. IF IT WAS Nicky Manaj performing, there would have been nothing BUT black men to kiss. But when we sing jazz, GOOD rhythm and blues, or anything with some culture and class, WE LIVE OFF WHITE DOLLARS. IT'S SAD, BUT IT'S TRUE. No problem for me. I'll take white dollars ANYDAY. White money is long money.

    K.... C....

I dont know how you can put Nicki in the same sentence as Diana Ross. The biggest difference is Diana has Actual Talent!!!

    K.... C....

chelseafn10 tell him again.. arsehole!! no fookin contest an he calls him self a musician, more likely he busking for his supper 😣
