Ross, Diana - Save The Children Lyrics
I just want to ask a question
Who really cares?
To save a world
A world in despair
Who cares?
There'll come a time, when the world won't be singing
And flowers won't grow, no, bells won't be ringin'
But who cares?
Who really cares?
Who's willing to try to save the world
That is destined to die
When I look at the world it fills me with sorrow
Little children today really suffer tomorrow
Oh what a shame, what a sad way to live
You gotta live, live for life
But let live everybody
Live life for the children
Oh, for the children
You see, we have to save the babies
Save the babies
Save the babies, save the babies
If you wanna love, save the babies
All the children all over the world

I'm playing this for my daughter tonight at bedtime.
I wish it was a time machine to travel to the 70s and stay there for long time!.

Ohh Lord this song touched my soul.
Wonderful singing.....I prefer this to the version by Nina Simone.
The playfulness of her flying background vocals are amazing. What a talent!
Wonderfull <3
Immortal Technique brought me here.

Happy Birthday young friend! Ms.Ross www.Soundcloud.com/Koolboislim
My favorite song by her, just beautiful.
I love this lady but I have a real problem with anybody wearing real fur that animals have been skinned alive for. Makes me sick to my stomach. Anybody who wants to wear real fur should have to watch the animals being skinned alive in China for the glory of warmth. Sick just sick.
sounds like Marvin Gaye produced this
+nhXCdboy - Diana Ross 1st big, credited production! Pretty good huh? Of course at the time (early '70's) all these elder Motowners were inspired by Stevland's success & independence.
curtis mayfield
As usual she is magnificent, classy & beautiful..... Diana Ross the Boss ....Just saw her in March 2015.... 2nd row seats..... Still looks incredible at 70 !
was diane singing this about her brown love child Rhonda? knowing her sisters were half white and had a father she was married too. Poor Rhonda pawned off as another man's child when she looked just like her daddy (berry gordy) in a dress. Diane bore the guilt of her actions no doubt for yrs.
The most beautiful song I've ever heard
Awesomeness...
I dedicate this song to the people in Ferguson, Missouri.

MELVIN LINDSAY + WHUR = INNOVATORS. AHHH THE GOOD OLE DAYZ IN CHOCOLATE CITY!
I first heard this on the quiet storm on whur in dc. When Melvin Lindsey ruled. It's still on of my favorite Ross songs. And it always takes me back to the early "quiet storm" days! Nobody did it like Melvin!!1
@SpazChat I completely agree.
i love this song...it touches me so much.
Yes, this song is so PRESENT!!! Love it!!!!
One of my favorite songs by Ms. Ross. The way she handles both parts of this song...I can't explain...she just "handles it"....a wonderful piece to listen to and just let absorb you. This album...esp this song seems ahead of it's time to me. Doesn't sound like it's from 1973 even though it is.
Also, when I hear this song it puts me in the mind of Julie Dexter...wonder if Ms. Ross was an influence for her.
the VERY BEST Diana Ross!!! great production & so INTOXICATINGLY HAUNTING and DIVINE!!! . . puts me on a cloud
