Ronnie Milsap - Since I Don't Have You Lyrics

When you walked out on me,
In walked the misery.
and he's been here since then.

I don't have plans and schemes.
I don't have hopes and dreams.
I, I, I don't have anything,
Since I don't have you.
(since I don't have you)

I don't have fond desires.
And I don't have happy hours.
No, I don't have anything,
Since I don't have you.

I don't have Happiness and I guess
I never will ever again.
When you walked out on me,
In walked the misery,
And he's been here since then.

I don't have love to share.
I don't have one who cares.
No, I don't have anything,
Since I don't have you!

When you walked out on me,
In walked old misery.
and he's been here since then.

I don't have love to share.
and I don't have one who cares.
I don't have anything,
Since I don't have you-oooo!

you-oooo!
you-oooo!
you-oooo!

great song Ronnie, you sound wonderful

  63. j.... ....

  64. R.... G....

My favorite video, bar none.  Ronnie is super, but the video is outstanding. So real, so much like it was in the fifties.  Brings back so many memories

  65. G.... G....

I love that song vert much.

  66. g.... ....

Don't mind admitting it. This old guy is a sucker when it comes to romance. When that girl smiled up at that boy, I caught myself crying like a fool. I feel so blessed to have so many memories just like the ones depicted here. Btw, Ronnie Milsap has a better vocal range than most singers. He is totally amazing.

    g.... ....

I'm 46, and being a former country dj, have heard this song a million times.
Waterworks turned on all the same.

    g.... ....

I can't see that smile without breaking into a big grin that approaches tears. Doesn't make sense to anyone but me probably.

  67. b.... w....

Ronnie's cover reflects well on the original by the Skyliners from Pittsburgh, my all timebest Doo Wop group,

  68. C.... D....

    American Graffiti

  71. J.... F....

    P.S. Great haircut, RM.

  72. J.... F....

Ronnie. Such a beautiful fucking voice. It elevate all it touches.

  73. E.... ....

Sadly I didn't discover Ronnie until 1990 and then I was hooked. I didn't hear this song until 3 weeks ago. I do karokee quite a bit so I've been practicing this song since then. In a month I'll try it on stage. I can do the whole song but have have to train for the last few verses where Ronnie hits some really high notes. What a great song!!

    E.... ....

Knock'em dead at karaoke. Betcha a lot of couples hit the dance floor!

    E.... ....

katydid mccarthy Haha, very kind of you, thanks!

  74. M.... B....

This man can take any genre of music and make it his.  He brought so many into country music because of his knack of picking great songs and making them his.  I've loved his music since I was just a young boy.

  75. r.... ....

alguien me puede decir si el video es de una pelicula y me puede decir el nombre

  76. R.... N....

I liked it. It was ok👏

  77. M.... G....

I love this version of the song. Anytime Ronnie sings a ballad, I’m in. Thanks for posting this.

  78. p.... p....

In my lowrider play this song everyday

  79. M.... W....

When you look up entertainer in the dictionary this guy's picture ought to be in it. He is in every sense of the word a great performer. If you ever get the chance to see him live please do.

  80. H.... M....

I doubt that people who graduated from high school after 1964 will understand this action. They all wonder what took him so long. But before 1964 school and Sunday-school was so segregated by gender that boys had little knowledge of girls. They (girls) seemed like they were from another planet. Younger generations have their own problems, but not this one.

    H.... M....

To Mr. McMackin, Sir, I also was raised in the 50's &60's, born in '46. And your observation is absolutely so true. When the tidal wave known as adolescence hit me in 2nd semester of 6th grade, I had no idea of what to do, because girls were creatures I knew not a thing about. -----What a time it was. -------Wolfsky9

  81. k.... m....

Hey fifties ladies, do you remember sitting on the gym   bench and waiting for the boy you had a crush on get up the nerve to ask you to dance?

    k.... m....

In more than one instance that boy would have been me. In at least one time, I messed up on, I probably would be still married to her , if I had ever gotten the nerve to ask her. But no... I was a dumb  $$$. Now I can't find her.  But I love this song, and grew up before it was written . His line at the end is great . I'm glad someone had the foresight to put it in, or include it.

    k.... m....

@John Smith it's only hard if we don't give up . always give the other a chance to say No ..

  82. N.... C....

    good version

  83. M.... A....

    hi 😇

  84. J.... R....

The ending is beyond imagination. Best line ever. Anyone with a negative remark has no idea of His Life or roots. Look it up and remove if You Can. JIMMY  I have experience that Young Love Several times. What a Gift from God. JIMMY

  85. T.... N....

    Cheesy video, great song!

    T.... N....

Tucker Nelson It's the 60s dumbass, that's what it was like back then. Did your mom drop you on your head as a baby? Goofball.

  86. A.... K....

    Ronnie you nailed
it. Best cover of this song boss. Love you man!

  87. G.... L....

Good cover of a classic Guns n' Roses song !

    G.... L....

    good joke

    G.... L....

Actually, the Guns n' Roses version was a cover of the original Skyliners hit.

  88. m.... ....

It's good but grossly errs by missing the conceptual essence of good doowop: group harmony, not a lead with random background singers.

    m.... ....

He is singing it as a ballad.

    m.... ....

I love Doo Wop, good, bad, or indifferent. I love it all. But Mr. Milsap has taken a different turn on this song, and it's as good as it gets.

  89. D.... L....

When you walked out on me, in came misery, and he's been there ever since.Ya, maybe for a few years...never stopped me loving you. Going on 40 years now!

  90. P.... C....

    skyliners version better for me

    P.... C....

    Peter Carman both are great

    P.... C....

Peter Carman DEFINITELY NOT!!! You're living in the past, open your ears, they are lame next to Ronnie.

  91. A.... H....

lol YThe kid was like, idunno when Ronnie asked him what took him so long.

  92. D.... J....

And he makes it look effortless.

    D.... J....

He always has made it look easy. Do you know of his childhood ? His mother  " Threw him away" when she found out he was  blind. He was raised by his grandparents, whom he never forgot. He built them a big home. His mother lives in whatever. Talk about bad. I still have no use for Mamma. How could someone do that. ?? He was raised in poverty, near Robbinsville, NC. Charley Pride helped persuade him to do country. Excellent Choice.

    D.... J....

@John Smith I did not know that about him.

  93. D.... J....

And he makes it look effortless.

  94. J.... B....

The amazing Ronnie Milsap.  So pure.  So much heart.  Voice of the Gods.  I can always go back to him after years away and it still is fantastic.  God bless you, Ronnie!

  95. G.... M....

    beautiful

  96. T.... P....

Fell in love with this song right away back in the day. The key change at 3:16 and him hitting that last high note in full voice is what really sends me.

    T.... P....

He has unbelievable range. You will not hear many hit that raspy throat high note like Milsap does at the end. I am a singer. I tried to hit that note imany times like he does but its one that I cant duplicate.

    T.... P....

@Scott R Scott gets it. To hit that note, and to simultaneously emphasize it with more throat?? Legendary.

    T.... P....

    Where do you go?
