And I can tell not so many people knows about them; music. opening tunes, bass style, M Tylor then Ronnie...the death of Brian...heroin and thousen differnt drugs as well...I went to see them 2013, well i was so differnt as in 2003, keith is a mummy..and Jagger is ridicoulous..Nobody want to see it, many say : " Well they conquer That so is up to them..well Bill did it already. The who suck in your opinion? Your knowledge of rock music seems to be very limited. When did the Rolling Stones ever record a live album even half as great as Live at leeds? There's a reason that album is still generally considered to be the greatest rock live recording ever. The who certainly should be metioned with the Stones, since they rank among the greatest rock bands ever you fucking fool. But it seems that all arguments and facts are lost on you. The Beatles knew better and decided to end their career at the height of their creativity and success (even though Let it be was a weak last album compared to their best work, it still was solid and was only ruined by Spector's overblown production). Lennon released two classic albums after the Beatles, Paul released the classic Ram album in 1971 and later "Band on the Run" in 1973. How many classic solo albums have (ex-)Rolling Stones members put out? Exactly, NONE... (tbc...)

I know every album by the Stones. Black and Blue is a decent album (as is Steel Wheels, Voodoo Lounge and A Bigger Bang), but the only albums the Stones made after Exile that are excellent are Some Girls and Tattoo you. The rest of their discography is solid up to good stuff, but certainly not good enough to compare to the Beatles. Up to Exile every Stones album was either very good (Their Satanic Majesties Request, the earliest albums) or brilliant. Most of the stuff from 1980 onward isn't...

Tom Waits black and blue was pretty underrated it was basically an audition album for mick T replacement.the black and blue bootlegs were pretty good too.

why are you saying "if the stones quit in the early 70's" it should be if the stones quit in 1970 (after let it bleed) because thats when the beatles disbanded. So exile & ghs and everything after let it bleed shouldn't be considered in this argument. Soo take the beatles discography vs the stones discography up until 1970...who do you think wins?

Wait what? That doesn't make any sense. If anything it's the other way around. If the Stones quit in the early 70s (after Exile on Main Street or GHS) it would be arguable to discuss who is better, the Beatles or the Stones. But if you take everything the Stones have ever released (including weak albums like Dirty Work and Undercover) then the Beatles are clearly the winners. Way more impressive discography. The only GREAT albums the Stones put out after "Exile" were Tattoo you and Some Girls.

The Beatles just barely edge out the Stones based solely on the material both bands made up until 1970. But if you consider all of the Stones material vs all of the Beatles material, the Rolling fuckin' Stones win every time....
