Listening to this now beside a woodland pool in late autumn. One of my favourite places. I have spent hundreds of days and nights here over the last four decades. Fishing and watching the birds, insects and flowers. I don't usually listen to music outdoors, but this song came into my head as this lovely place has affected me so deeply since I was a teenager. Just needed to here that wonderful Trower/Dewar combination right now. It lifted me from my melancholy frame of mind. Melancholy music can be uplifting.

Dewar had a way of playing bass and singing❤️ what an album. Miss this music.

James Dewar never got the credit he solely deserved. Robin got most of it but with all due respect to Robin, he could not sing and James took the mantle for bass and vocal and stuck all the iceing on the cake which made the whole group complete. Sadly with James passing (RIP James) other vocalists have had to step in on live concerts. None that I have heard will ever come anywhere near to James' voice. He was totally gifted in that sense. Quote from Wiki - "The Scot had a rich, powerful voice, with a soulful timbre, and has been regarded by critics as one of the most under-rated rock vocalists" This particular track shows what a great and distinctive voice James had.

My favorite Trower song. I want it played at my funeral to celebrate my life and remember my high school graduation days. I will never forget this song,,,

Robin Trower was a great guitarist much like Carlos Santana who taught us that holding a perfect note just right for the right length of time with inner depth and emotion instead of just seeing how fast u can play are the songs that stand the test of time.
