I played this song at my daddy’s funeral...Something about this song just struck me to my core and it put into words everything I was feeling when I had to let go of the man I loved most in my life. I miss him so very much and can’t wait until the day we are reunited

Within the couple of years after my ex girlfriend's wedding, this song was all about her. But at this years, I dedicate this song to my girlfriend, and I realize that this song is a lot more about her. I love her so much. Though she may not believe it.

When I first heard this song I thought it would be nice to play at our 50th anniversary. It's been 38 years now and I've just been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, terminal. My hope, my wish is that whether it be this song or another, the ones you love, remember.

@tracyfaris I buried my dad in 2008- he was a combat Marine in Vietnam. I was 24 when he died at 56 yrs bc of the VA's neglect. This song would have been beautiful to play. That does not sound strange at all. I have thought about this song several times in the last year since I lost my dog Bozo. He did not have a peaceful death like this song talks about however and I have not listened to it since then. I decided to listen tonight though and the 1st thing I see is this comment. The song says "I will not let you down" but I feel so much like I did. He will not be forgotten however; just like this great song says.

I hope this doesnt sound strange, but i played this song yesterday to my beloved cat while on the way to have him put down. I stayed the entire time with him. I cried as he lost conscienceness. I held his body and hugged him and cried till i could cry no more tears. I was in the room with him 50 minutes. The song seemed appropriate for letting go.
