I am getting into the fucking spirit right now.

Go see a concert he can do screams so good from ear piercing high notes to Seth Putnam type screams, he tends to start losing his voice near the end of the concert but oh well, he also adds in some death growls too.

He doesn't do the high notes, or screams, these days. But he can. Check out Wrathchild from the "Live At Ullevi" concert (you can find it on youtube). There he does a serious scream.

dude dickinson's technique is like the worst of those. He just pushes his chest voice into the high range. it worked for him in the 80's but these days alot of the high notes come out thin and nasally. I think what has allowed halford to have the huge range he has is that he developed his head voice with as much focus and power as his chest voice

@ManlySound Rob Halford uses a falsetto, and computer magic in this. King Diamond's voice is a lot deeper than both Halford and Dickinson in actual voice, both goes above both, but in a falsetto. Dickinson uses better technique than both.

@bubbatha There's an interview somewhere on here where he says he plays a little guitar on the album too. No surprise since he wrote the entirety of War of Words himself. He has more up his sleeve than a great voice. :)

You're not helping that claim by insisting on misapplying the term "sell-out."

Selling out is what happens when an artist changes his style, his message or his image to appeal to a wider audience or the lowest common denominator for purposes of simple profit.

A change in direction that comes of the artist's personal creative interests or desires alone does not fit the "selling" part.

It didn't apply to Frank Zappa writing orchestra and it doesn't apply to Winter Songs.
